With two new teams is it really that surprising that there was a lot of blowouts last year? Once the new teams become more competitive like the Suns were last year, the amount of thrashings will decrease and we'll have a more even comp.

Did you see the scoreline for the Titans v Raiders game today KE? Ouch! For a team that Raiderdave said would be top 4 this year not be able to score must be concerning for the nRL.

Not really, they do this every year and made it in the final last year from a very similiar start to the year. Xman tried posting info from the betting agency before to proove a point. If you had of seen the raiders before the season started, they where in the mix to win the comp. Hence, RL obviously not as predictable as AFL. Back on topic again ladies
 Yes well said dogs. It's amazingly predictable how Xman will revert to crowds when he's losing face. Xman? Hellooooo? We're talking about lopsided competition here matey. There's another thread on crowds.

Oh and I'd like to add a response to stewies lil msg. No its not surprising the comp was so uncompetitive last season after two new teams had come in stewie. I agree and if you'd read and remembered previous posts in this thread I've stated that that was half the problem. The AFL have overcooked their expansion, they've overcommitted themselelves to a comp which is clearly too large to hold quality teams which can compete across the board. They need to now cull melbourne sides imo. Cull and cull quickly so the fans like me and you dont continue to be disinterested in half the games each week because they are essentially deadrubbers.

Oh and Stewie. A blowout is not indicative of a lopsided comp. Consistent blowouts involving the same basketcase teams is. See AFL 2012 season results for a detailed definition :)
KE, why is an even comp important?

Ahhh Xman? "Competition" is a word deriving from "compete". If you got teams who simply cannot compete on an even playing, simply arent the same standard, then what you've got is a shite competition.

anyone get the feeling KE likes ignoring real discussion....interesting you ignore the ratings, members and crowds threads KE. :-k

Youre just here to be a smart arse yet actually ignore all the facts showing what a dismal comp the NRL really is. 3 games of NRL today and they barely got 33k for all three combined  Is that the result of a closer competition? If so you can have it

Hey you know you're talking to the guy who was the first person to predict that the 2012 AFL season would be the most lopsided in its history!? Yes that's right! I did! Before all the AFL statisticians, before mick malthouse and everyone else expressed their concerns.

So you shut yer silly pie eater. I've already acknowledged the AFL has higher members and crowds. The ratings ive already discussed to billio. I'm into current, fresh issues and the 2012 AFL season is as fresh as we got...and it was the most lopsided in AFL history goddammit!

So that's why im here, just doin my bit, tryin to build awareness of the issues and come up with good solutions. The AFL needs one Xman, and you, you running round with your superhero nicname are doin nuttin! Nada! Zilcho to help the AFL's cause! [-X [-X [-X

As for the rest of your post? Utter dribble. I'm really disappointed in your posting of late pies. If I was ur daddy I'd be worried about what you were doing in your recreational time...i.e drug use. I certainly hope its not but the drop in your conscientiousness is significantly evident in your posting.

Pm me if you need someone to talk to in private pies. :|
Sorry I made an error there I meant to say GC and GWS will be in contention for finals footy the next year. Ie 2014. You seam a bit jumpy mate relax and get some sleep.

Oh wow, you know how to highlight your words of stupidity.

Did you even read my updates, if the NRL is more lopsided, how do you explain the fact that there is only one side after 2 rounds that have won 2 games.

How do you explain the contridiction to your boyfriends post i.e most of the side that won in round 1 and were used in his examples (to try and prove his point about NRL) were beaten in rd 2. You idiot.

Although to your comment, I agree with you, and the RL fans we are sick of it. This is the reason I jump on and off this site as I can't stand your nonsense. Beaussie, XMAN is trying to ban himself, under 18's should not be on this website. Time to leave spam-xman

so you predicted a competition with two brand new inexperienced teams would be the most lopsided ever?

Well done =D> I dont know how you did it!

We all know the issue, we all know the solution, which is already in place. Bo the Suns and Giants will be middle of the pack teams within a few years with no intervention required. They are packed full of great youth who only need experience to be quality players.

You have no interest in solutions, and quite frankly you dont know enough about the game to offer one anyway

whats the cutoff for a shite comp? 3 poor teams, 4, 5? What does it matter? Yes they had a very lopsided year last year, yet increased TV ratings by 10%. This year theyre on track to increase memberships again. Many experts are saying theyll have 13 teams well place to make the finals.

So wheres the problem?

Yet you bang on about the even NRL comp which had no substantial rise in ratings and a mediocre year of attendance, and will end up with one of their lowest attendance totals for the first two rounds for many years.....

FMD!

I have said your individual games are as lopsided, if not more lopsided score wise, but your competition overall is more even, especially at the moment given the AFL have aggressively expanded.

I cant explain it any more simply than this. If you still dont get it youll need to get your mum to explain it to you. Although be nice, shes probably got to get up for school tomorrow
