The countries around the world are already preparing for the 2014 AFL International Cup.
Each competition sees the number and quality of the teams rise significantly.
Divisional structure ensures balanced competition and the spread of international competition around the world ensures that teams are prepared . The new Asian AFL joins AFL Europe and North American competitions in providing intermediate competition.

So far media coverage has been as scant a rl wc outside the fishbowl of Sydney, but that should change as knowledge of the International Cup grows. At least we don't have the totally unbalanced situation of the rlwc whereby a minor sport in NZ take on the combined might of NSW & Qld players imported mainly from NZ and the Pacific. Where other pretenders are represented by a fast imploding league in Northern England or where in typical rl form the French are still blaming their demise on the WW VIchy forces.

You grossly overestimate the interest in the rlwc and you underestimate the growth and interest in Australian Football around the world especially when rl is experiencing major problems overseas.
