How you fuckstique?
Where's the team in Canberra, our nations capital in a region getting awfully close to half a million people?
How about the Illawarra region that's not far behind Canberra's?
The Hunter region how many in that part of the world, getting closer to a million these days?
North QLD, an AFL team up there?
How many people in 2 states of Australia do not have a team to support in the AFL?
See, add all the populations together for where teams are and it's more or less 50/50 just like the TV ratings.
My god you are stupid.

The AFL is the only football league to host multiple premiership games in every state and territory, as well as hosting at least 2 teams in every mainland state of Australia.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Where's all the Vfl teams in every State and Territory idiot?
It's infinite times more national than the ******** League.

THE Sydney Swans now have the richest uniform in Australian sport.Striker wrote:LINK!!Xman wrote:And now they have some of the biggest sponsorship deals in Australian sport.Striker wrote:And oodles of cash......

Their Bloods colours are valued in the millions after landing a new third major partner catapulting the sponsorship value of the club's branded uniforms beyond any other sporting team.
The Daily Telegraph can exclusively reveal the Swans have secured a four-year deal with Volkswagen Group of Australia valued in excess of $1 million per season.
Sydney's uniform is now valued higher than reigning AFL premiers and sporting giants Collingwood, while it dwarfs the commercial success of NRL clubs with few rugby league sides capable of attracting one sponsor worth seven figures whereas the Swans can now boast three. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/ ... 6000443582

My God, read the bloody article and see for yourself. This is the Swans third major partner and it's worth more than $1 million per season. Do the math, three major sponsors all paying over $1 million a season to the Swans. Other clubs in both the AFL and nRL struggle to get one major sponsor to even pay that much per season. The Swans being the biggest sports team in Sydney and previously a one AFL team town is why they are so valuable.Striker wrote:Well prove me wrong with FACTS! Who cares, you still haven't taken games to any of those regional places with big populations and I doubt the code ever will, people are just not interested.Stewie wrote:The AFL is the only football league to host multiple premiership games in every state and territory, as well as hosting at least 2 teams in every mainland state of Australia.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Where's all the Vfl teams in every State and Territory idiot?

And as a matter of fact, the only state or territory not to have either a trial or premiership NRL match in 2012 was Adelaide, so in fact, more people in your pathetic mind had a chance to see RL than AFL because RL went to heaps of the big regional areas and all mainland states and Territories bar that shithole where you come from.
Heck, Newcastle, Illawarra and Yass alone nearly beat Adelaide.
Dope.

Having 20 odd games in each mainland capital city is what makes the money. Smaller regions like like Newcastle and Illawara could one day host a game or two, if the facilities were suitable but if the expenditure is too high it's not worth it. Also if you read the previous post properly, you should have seen I wrote premiership matches, not trials. Trial matches are meaningless as the best aren't playing.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Who cares, you still haven't taken games to any of those regional places with big populations and I doubt the code ever will, people are just not interested.Stewie wrote:The AFL is the only football league to host multiple premiership games in every state and territory, as well as hosting at least 2 teams in every mainland state of Australia.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Where's all the Vfl teams in every State and Territory idiot?

You think the population of Newcastle or Wollongong isn't big enough for an AFL side when you have a place called Geelong or something with under half of the Gongs pop already in your comp, and they can't even take 1 game to these places?
