Rugby League - on the front foot
Just a quick look at the thread topics and posts on this forum tells us that clearly the AFL is massively on the back foot in the code war. Massively.
How's it feel my AFL following pussies?

Yes that's appearing quite true there Parra. Currently its like the poor bastards are always playing catchup. Issue after massive issue is being stuffed down their pie eaters at a rate which is making them appear rather sickly

Raiderdave makes little difference when there is just issue after massive issue for us to draw on, week in, week out. He simply adds another perspective.
You poor bastards are copping an absolute ass belting in here pete!

How's it feel?

Look the only thing that u guys have come close with in beating us is the 3 strikes policy.
However when it comes down do it heaps of people would use drugs in heaps of codes

One thing i'm looking forward to this year is the nRL being the recipient of a big cash injection. Gone is the excuse that the nRL has no money to advertise/subsidise tickets etc. Throwball zealots will have to face the fact that it's not the AFL's money that draws people to games in massive numbers.
You'll have to rely on one of your myriad other excuses in 2013 when the laughable crowds start appearing. "It rains in Sydney, it desn't rain in Melbourne" you'll cry. "Sydney's transport is terrible, getting to games is a nightmare" you'll bellow. "Our stadiums are delapadated and not centralised" you'll bemoan.
"Superleague" you'll whimper to yourselves mornfully as you watch Collingwood and Carlton pack out the MCG through envious, tear-filled eyes.

Hahaha yes Drac those excuses are pretty woeful I must admit. Anyone with half a brain knows the primary reason the crowds flock to professional marngrook matches is that for non supporters and also for many supporters alike, the game often looks like a flock of rowdy seagulls fighting over the last chip when viewed on a television. Not a particularly enjoyable sight. More a disturbing one in factDrac wrote:One thing i'm looking forward to this year is the nRL being the recipient of a big cash injection. "It rains in Sydney..." hahaha yes drac, I'm with you, its crazy how people make those terrible excuses rather than pointing out the truth like I have above

The premise of this fight club is arguing which code is best. Hence the 'code wars' reference.Stewie wrote:Code wars![]()

There it is, an excuse already! And it's one of the more common ones... rl is better on tv than at the gameKing-Eliagh wrote:Hahaha yes Drac those excuses are pretty woeful I must admit. RL on the other hand with its parallel structure and uniformed flow can at times be more enjoyable to watch on the tele than when you're at the match.
That excuse didn't stop the 70k crowd at the nRL prelim final last year, did it?
