Farewell the glorious Shoulder Charge
RIP The Shoulder Charge. You will be sorely missed by fans and players alike. Looks like the ARLC won't be happy untill all players cuddle on the field like in AFL. Every highlight reel will now be but shadow of what it used to be

Re: Farewell the glorious Shoulder Charge
Not true. The shoulder charge wasn't a major part of the game at all. Less than half a dozen a game. It will place the emphasis back on tackling as it should be.

Re: Farewell the glorious Shoulder Charge
I am not overly worried that the shoulder charge is gone. Like striker stated it wasn't a big part (all be it a must for the highlights reel) more often than not it doesn't come off. Being a bit old school I won't miss it. I grew up with hero's like Raper and Coote and their classic way of tackling was a highlight reel itself.
