Swans games on 7mate usually range from 65k to 90k. Fox Footy matches involving the Swans normally get around 200,000. Let's say 30% of that 200,000 were Sydney siders, then you would have another 60,000 from Sydney watching on pay. So overall the figures are very similar to that of the Warriors. Add the Giants to the ratings, and you have AFL in NSW > NZ Warriors.

I think we should go on the more accurate theory based on the
fact that over 30% of Foxtel subscribers come from Sydney, and with the Swans playing a lot of Sydneysiders would be tuning in. So around 60k from Sydney tuning into the football on Fox Footy. A lot of people from Sydney would have subscribed to Foxtel years ago so they could get decent coverage of the football, back when 7 would delay all games except the Swans matches.[/quote]
