I never disagreed with their treatment by security staff. I only stated it is universal. To use that as an excuse for poor treatment is hilarious...but that's striker at the moment.

But what he said was true and what you say is as well because the Storm are still more or less a new club finding their first generation of support, for gods sake, teams need a lot of time to build support and one of the things vfl, union and soccer fans belt RL with is the fact we lost teams when we expanded.

(yet they conveniently forget the sl war with packer and murdoch being the real reason)

So, what do these same fans of other codes do when the NRL actually sticks with a team and lets it grow? (Melbourne Storm)

Why, they continue to post the lies and BS from the past to try and justify themselves even though it makes them look like complete idiots.

He is claiming the Storms crowds would be much higher if they played at a bigger stadium like Etihad. Its BS! They average 12k in a 30k stadium! How are more seats going to help? AAMI is purpose built rectangular stadium and perfect for soccor, RU and RL.

He then claimed its because it lets the weather in! Yet when the Storm played at Etihad they averaged LESS!

He then claimed thats because they were poorly treated by Etihad staff!

The excuse making is astounding. you agree with that shite? :-k

Hmm, 5 GFs in 15 years yet less fans than their first year.

What happens when they start losing a few games? Theyll be lucky to draw 5k

OMG! The security are the same for every sport. There have been media reports of poor Chub security treatment at AFL games too.

Seriously, thats it? Fans stayed away because of security. Now Ive just about heard everything!
Excuse me, but this was WORSE than the AFL! Or the cricket! It was selective bannings for NO REASON! I don't know if it was Chubb or not, but I don't care. Those in the know are aware that the instructions came from venue management because they didn't want us playing games at the venue and the last thing they wanted was a good crowd!

WOW, this is tin foil hat stuff like Ive never seen before, and utter BS!

What possible reason would Etihad have for trying to slam NRL? They would care who their tennant was as long as they got paid.

He royally screwed most AFL clubs too.

Suggesting he has an agenda against RL that would limit the earning capacity of his new business is laughable.

the panthers would prob make one of the lowest revenues from mercandise, sponsers and members in the NRL, but it has the largest revenue in australia from its leagues clubs. the 11.7 million would of been covered in the cash grant the panthers leagues club gives penrith panthers rugby league club every year. The club will never fold or run out of money.

Collingwood reported their revenue at $75 million in 2011, which included the gaming revenue. the actual football clubs revenue was $50 million. with a $1/2 million profit

Canterbury reported their revenue at $16 million in 2011, which was the actual football clubs revenue, and $101 million with the gaming revenue added, and a 1/2 million profit.

Its funny how collingwood likes to release figures with the gamming revenue added to their total amount, whereas the bulldogs didnt, just to make it seem the 'gap' is wider than it really is (a Typical AFL stint really)... It seems it doesnt matter where abouts the person is in the AFL, they will still have an undenying need to fudge figures for their own benefit...
Yes Quite interesting stuff wouldn't you say Xman....

Keep fudging the figure's boys... =D>

Fudging what fool?

All AFL teams publish an annual financial report which clearly outlines their financial details for anyone to see. Where are the NRL reports? :-k Nothing. I wonder why that is?

He hates league that much. Doyle's the same. They don't see the dollar signs from us as a result. The SOO crowd this year shows that the wrong decision was made! Melbourne loves league at Etihad! Just shut off the Nazi's at the gate, keep it to the same standard as other sports, and the Storm can average 25,000 at least at Etihad.

The AFL will own Etihad in 2025 perhaps then the Storm can get a better deal and get their games squitched to the Docklands then.

If Collins did hate have an anti RL agenda (which is ludicrous given Hes running a business and rent is rent) I'm not sure it will improve when the AFL own the stadium.
