Will be interesting to see at the end of the season how things pan out. Last year the Victory had a good bump to crowds with Harry, but still had a lower average attendance than every Melbourne AFL club. I wonder if the same will be said of Sydney FC and Sydney-based nRL clubs at the end of 2013.
Time will tell.

It costs $6.50 for a junior to get into tonight's Victory game against the Reds.Raiderdave wrote:does it cost only $5 bucks to get into a Victory game ?Drac wrote:Will be interesting to see at the end of the season how things pan out. I'm curious if you know the $5 figure is just for children, or if you really do believe that Adults in Melbourne pay only $5 to attend AFL games? I know you're cognitively disabled, but i'm interested to gauge exactly HOW disabled you are. Your answer to my question will go a long way to solving that particular puzzle for me, and would be appreciated.

Re: Soccer >>> Rugby League in Sydney
The AFL goes out of its way to get kids to attend games, knowing full well that kids grow up and become adults, and a culture of attendance as a child is important if they want the subsequent adult to attend. Finals are another story.

Don't waste your time. Dodegy dave one day will say something almost intelligent but I'll miss it because I don't bother with anything with his monika on it.Drac wrote:I'm curious if you know the $5 figure is just for children, or if you really do believe that Adults in Melbourne pay only $5 to attend AFL games? To answer your question - just look at the bizarre senseless reply inbedded in 1001 modicoms.
Typical of the rl set. They cannot see past AFL. They are consumed by AFL. They read (well look at the pictures) all the AFL posts. They are totally besotterd by AFL.
In the meantime they are oblivious to the their main threat - soccer.
Soccer dominates participation by far. Now soccer is starting to flex it's muscle at elite level.
If rl doesn't watch out it'll slip to number three behind soccer and AFL.
.
Nice try Cos.

Re: Soccer >>> Rugby League in Sydney
whether tickets are 6 dollars or 2 dollars is irrelevant. Both are perfectly affordable.Raiderdave wrote:Drac wrote:It costs $6.50 for a junior to get into tonight's Victory game against the Reds.Raiderdave wrote:does it cost only $5 bucks to get into a Victory game ?

As Drac said, the AFL encourage child attendance to continue their attendance culture. They can do that by subsidising the cost because they have the revenue to do it.
Another example of why the AFL are better off than the nRL, despite not making a massive profit.
