So this is how BS claims are decided. Not on hard evidence but on hearsay evidence. What we have heard (not seen) is that a friend of TLPG sends a email to Beau, we can only assume at the bequest of TLPG that Beau then says he received from a reputable source . All very fishy, there is an old saying that a fish smells from the head down. If this is all that is required to have BS claims thrown out you can expect a lot of emails Beau. Come clean show us all the email so that I can contact the sender and request some information from them. I have sent an email request for some information from the Raiders Club. If they contradict TLPG's friend will he then be granted the BS point he so rightly deserves?

Dumb ass comment as can only be expected. Yes, I worked at Darlinghurst also as from memory Beau did as well. We all have to walk across Hyde Park to get the busses and trains to get home.

Typical dumbass remark from a dumbass.

I still say No proof = BS

No, because the Raiders will deny anything happened per the hush mentality that has already been mentioned. It will get you nowhere. I sent no email to Beau. You have to prove that I did and you can't. So accept that the fight happened - and move on.

Oh and BTW, the Kings Cross remark was aimed at KE, not you. Paranoid, much?

Let's put some persepctive on this shall we?

Now I'm inclined to disbelieve TL from a personal point of view. But we should take personalities out of this, because for one thing there were a lot of rumours about early in 1997 about fighting in the crowd at league games. Both Super League and ARL. A lot of people put this down to the opposition trying to louse up the other side with innuendo, and I didn't see any media coverage of it. Mainly because all the angst over the War was on the field and we all know what it was like, especially when it spilled over in 1998. That's where the media coverage was.

Whether or not the rumours were true I don't know. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't. Personally I don't give a shit. So, why Mark are you making a federal case out of it? What does it matter if it's BS or not? Let TL have this one. What sort of effect does it have? If you let it get you down, he's won! It has no effect. 1997 was 15 years ago. For the sake of the fight, even if it did happen it doesn't happen now. Maybe TL should take the bit between the teeth and come to AAMI Park next season where I can personally show him that what he claims to have seen in Canberra was nothing more than a thing of the past and a one off aberration.

The closest I would get to Bubble Park is going to the Australian Open in January! Wouldn't be caught dead there!

The fact is that TLPG should be subject to the same rules that govern all BS cases.

If someone makes a remark that someone else accuses them of making a BS statement the onus is on the person who made the remark to back it up. In this case as I pointed out earlier. A person has been approached by TLPG to send a email to Beau and it has been accepted. This is not proof in my eyes or anyone else who is reasonable.

When the blatant bias towards AFL fans is allowed to go on and it becomes obvious that this site will not be one for people to come to and have a discussion people will stop posting and that cannot be good for the site.

I singled out Beau in an earlier post as he has allowed and promoted this kind of behavior on these pages. If he only wants the AFL view to prevail, by all means continue on the same path but the result will be that he will lose part of his participants on this site.

I am a personal friend of Beaus and I am very disappointed that he has chosen to go down this path.

We all enjoy a bit of banter and a bit of goodwill poking of fun at each other but it has to be a two way street where everyone here is treated equally. Can you just imagine if I got in first with an email from the Raiders organization stating that there was no incident at Bruce Stadium.

To believe that such an incident happened at Bruce Stadium and was not covered by media, no there is no way that the NRL could have covered it up with thousands in attendance at the game and media being media would have had the phones running hot back to their news desks to be the first ones to beak the story of a brawl of "Battle of Windy Hill" proportions at a Raiders game.

People can say let it go but what at stake here is more than the issuing of a BS point. What's at stake here is the integrity of this site.

You just can't get over the fact that the reflection relating to Windy Hill was (and is) a personal opinion! That's what has your nose out of joint! I've already established myself as hating that sort of thing at sporting events (any sort) and it applies to either side of the fence!

Fact - it was hushed up. You won't get any joy from your email. All it will do is provide zero evidence either way at best. Striker also said it was 15 years ago, so it's just possible that the Raiders hierachy has changed so much that they won't even remember it anyway!

The key difference, Mark, is that when there is something in writing that is claimed (as was the case with KE in BS File #19) there WILL be a record. Guaranteed. This is NOT the same as something that was seen with one's own eyes. That is MUCH harder to prove in the online sense - so filing BS on it is a dangerous precedent which is yet to be set. And should not be set IMO.

So as Striker said - move on.

I'm putting the ball in Beas court and see what happens. There is still no proof from you that an incident even happened.

FMD!

The BS file is supposed to be a bit of fun. Everyone should stop taking it so seriously.

All I asked TLPG to do wqas prove the incident happened. I have seen the evidence an Im happy to say I believe it happened. KE was involved in a BS file claim where he needed to show evidence of a study. Even a bit of evidence would have been sufficient but he failed to find even a trace.

With no evidence to the contrary I thought the email was a good source of evidence that the incident TLPG had described did in fact occur. Any luck with your email request from the Raiders? Doubt they're going to say it happened in anycase though.

What was I supposed to do once the email was received? Pretend I didn't get it? I only ever pointed out that I had received an email that supported what TLPG has said occurred. I don't adjudicate the BS files.
