Ugly crowd scenes at Patersons Stadium
A COLLINGWOOD supporter was told to "f--- off you silly old trollop'' as she was thrown out of Patersons Stadium last night in one of a number of ugly scenes during the West Coast clash.
Fans hurled abuse and profanity within metres of children as crowd behaviour again came under the spotlight in the Eagles first home game since Geelong coach Chris Scott labelled the Subiaco crowd the worst behaved in the country a fortnight ago.
Calls of "wanker'', "you useless f---er'' and "weak c---'' were heard in the stands as The Sunday Times spoke to fans, some who labelled the profanity ``disgusting'' and ``offensive''.
Behind the goals, Collingwood cheer squad member Jenny Goldsmith, 40, sprayed Eagles fans and gave the finger more than a dozen times, screaming "shut up you f---ing ferals''.
'It's called passion. No-one bags out the Pies and gets away with it. I don't give a shit if they don't like my shit stirring,'' she told The Sunday Times.

Sitting several seats away, Eagles fan Pam Lee, 56, of Mindarie, called security to censor Ms Goldsmith.
"What came out of her mouth was disgusting. She's an animal,'' she said.
Ms Goldsmith then clashed with up to five police and Patersons security guards who told her to leave the ground. While she was arguing, an Eagles supporter yelled: ``F--- off you silly trollop''.
Sitting nearby, Eagles supporter Lisa Tiernan, 42, of Yangebup, said it was a disgrace her son Mitchell, 11, was exposed to so much swearing in the stands.
"Hearing the F word so often isn't very nice when you've got kids. I don't dare tell them to stop, I'd rather not provoke them,'' Mrs Tiernan said.
But another Collingwood cheer squad member, Julie Pearson, 48, of Melbourne, defended the abuse and swearing, saying: ``Kids hear it at home. They hear it at school. The footy's no different. F---ing hell, it's all too politically correct these days.''
Before quarter time and again late in the game, a crowd controller sat behind the Collingwood bench to keep Eagles fans under control, telling them she was there to stop abuse directed at Pies coach Nathan Buckley.
As the Eagles dominated in the third quarter, calls of "piss off'' and "you dumb c---'' directed at players and umpires were heard from Collingwood fans, while some Eagles supporters had plenty to say as well.
But many said it added to the atmosphere and was part of footy.
"You hear some swearing but really I think Eagles supporters need to fire up more,'' June Williams, 65, of Carine said.
Busselton Eagles member Travis Regan, 40, said: "My son Brady is nine and I always bring the young fella. There's a bit of booing but that's just footy.''
With his face painted blue and gold, Michael Chantler, 25, said: ``I make a bit of noise. I might say the odd (swear) word but you can't please everyone.''
It comes a fortnight after Geelong coach Chris Scott labelled the Patersons crowd "disgraceful'', claiming Eagles fans directed abuse at concussed star Tom Hawkins and medical staff who treated him.
Scott called West Coast supporters the worst in the country, said Patersons was not a suitable place to bring children and lodged an official report with the AFL.
It prompted stadium boss Gavin Taylor to threaten season bans for fans who behaved badly, although he denied footy games at Patersons were not a suitable place for youngsters.
West Coast cheer squad organiser Dianne Rosman said abusive behaviour and swearing was not tolerated by the supporters club.
Last year, Collingwood supporters came under scrutiny after claims that a small pocket of the MCG crowd hurled racial and abusive taunts at star Eagle Nic Naitanui.
And Hawthorn forward Lance Franklin fell victim to slurs from a supporter who called him a "black c---'' during a racial barrage when the Hawks hosted West Coast in Launceston.
WA Football Commission spokesman Steve Tuohey said supporters at any matches at Patersons Stadium were urged to alert authorities of inappropriate behaviour through the ground's text message alert system. The number to SMS your SOS is 0408 602 464.
A Patersons Stadium spokesman said he would not have eviction numbers from the game until tomorrow, but this season evictions from the ground were down almost 20 per cent on last year.
