It says nothing Eel and KE. You don't understand what is going on in the AFL. Xman is on the money.

Xman you're learning, slowly, but you're learning. There's hope this one may live and see again folks :D

Richest arguable?? Who's pulling the bigger crowds of the two and attracting the associated turnover?
AFL by a mile.

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
Well in a comp with only 11competitive starters the top fours always going to be good. We all know that.

There are 5 struggling teams so there are 13 co mpetitive teams.King-Eliagh wrote:Well in a comp with only 11competitive starters the top fours always going to be good. We all know that.
We all know that will change in the coming years. The rise of the suns and giants will be exciting to watch. The fight for the flag this year will be a cracker.

And then some! I can't pick a premier right now, and I have a feeling it's so close that the winner could come from the elimination finals for the first time.

Add richmond to the basketcases and that makes 7. That side had their little three wins in a row and everyone thought they were the goods.
They're official basketcases. Couldnt make the finals to save themselves, and thats a fact.

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
Richmond are at worst inconsistent. Same for Brisbane. With the closeness of the competition it's easy to fall off the pace that way.
That knocks it back to five, and then consider Port Adelaide's financial position (which may be the worst in the league right now I think) will improve when the SANFL get the money from the sale of Football Park.
The only club that I think may be in real strife is Melbourne. I don't count Gold Coast or West Sydney because they are new.

So a team that wins 1/3 or more games is a basket case is it?King-Eliagh wrote:Add richmond to the basketcases and that makes 7. Re: Options for a lopsided comp
1/3 of games in a comp with 7 basketcases is, quite clearly a basketcase. There's six easy games on offer and then after that, if the sun shines out the teams collective asses and a competitive team is off their day a few wins is possible for any basketcase side. Happens in any comp. Look at parra this season in the NRL.
7 basketcases in the AFL comp this season. Lets hope TLPG and Xman are right in their ignorance and 'it'll all be fine' attitude. If not the AFL must consider deleting 2 teams in the next five years.

What a dunce! Why isnt it just the top 2 and the bottom 16 are basket cases?King-Eliagh wrote:1/3 of games in a comp with 7 basketcases is, quite clearly a basketcase. Its this way because, as I'll prove, the points these basketcases have scored in this seasons comp indicate the comp is the most lopsided in history.

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
There is only one genuine basketcase - Melbourne.
Now go away, KE.
