LU is a mad house ATM. Why? because the AFL have 4 live games per week in to NSW and QLD and the NRL only 1. They also have 9 live foxtel games plus their own channel and the NRL only 5.pussycat wrote:Fox have paid 150% more than they did last time , How can even you, XMan., say this is a bad result?
The money is good, you needed it, but for the RL fans its a disaster!

The heading is correct you idiot
Well most of us said the NRL would gget 750-900M excluding NZ. But we all assumed they would actually improve on their TV broadcast, not remain with the same embarrassing schedule that sees more AFL shown in NSW QLD than NRL.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Hahaha, you sure knew what you were talking about in this and a few other threads xwoman![]()

theyve openly said its not on the agenda for this deal.ParraEelsNRL wrote:How the hell can you know what is going on xman, the IC might have stipulations in the contract in regards to expansion and FTA coverage if they decide to expand before the next rights deal.
As usual, you vFL boys jump in feet first.
Yeah i think it a smart move by the ARLC to postpone Exp untill they have a strategy down pact, we all know how wrong exp can be...Xman wrote:theyve openly said its not on the agenda for this deal.ParraEelsNRL wrote:How the hell can you know what is going on xman, the IC might have stipulations in the contract in regards to expansion and FTA coverage if they decide to expand before the next rights deal.

Just look at GWS, SUNS if you want to see how not to expand your game. 400million over a 5 year black hole with no idea in sight on when these 2 clubs will stop leaking.
Btw xman expansion has not been taken of the table yet so hold your horses or show me were they say expansion is being shelved.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/nrl/n ... 6455270464IT WAS a simple nod of the head by Channel Nine boss David Gyngell that quickly made it clear expansion was not about to happen in the NRL any time soon.
Despite long-running and spirited campaigns by the Central Coast, Brisbane Bombers Central Queensland and two Perth franchises to be included as the 17th team, Gyngell and ARLC chairman John Grant made it clear they would not see a single dollar from the latest TV deal.
