Clearly you are against improvement.

Yes we'll go and watch the synchro swimming while you go an watch the boxing! :-({|=
Pipedown there cowboy.

Did you even see the promo? There was no mention of improvement you silly twat. Just beautiful slow mo footage of fists a flying in the heat of battle.

I hope you enjoy the synchro swimming. Do they make synchro swimming t-shirts? If yes you and Xman could wear them proudly at the footy next time. hehehe

Yes thankyou for pointing out the AFL rule against biffo. What a confused organisation. I mean they were glorifying the biff on their promo on Friday night. Deadset glorifying it. It was quite a beautiful promo...did you need to rush to the toilet after viewing it Xman?

The AFL - Glorifying biffo whilst ruling against it [-X You cant have it both ways [-X [-X

But we all now know what the honchos down at AFL HQ and channel 7 really think about the biffo.

Poor Xman, his own code and essentially his own team have highlighted what a confused buffoon he really is.

Synchronised swimming starts next week at the olympics Xman.
Well given there were two fights only which averaged 18years ago I thought the term decades was appropriate.
Now if that's not a slightly confused buffoon I dont know what is. :[]

Ch7 promoted the rivalry and demonstrated those fights to show the rivalry had a long history and was passionate. It had nothing to do with ch7 promoting fighting in the AFL. it definately had nothing to do with the AFL promoting fighting or even using it to promote the game.

How stupid are you thinking for thinking ch7 promotions represent the AFL policy and opinion?
Excellen Xman, you agree now that fisticuffs is about passion and rivalry. You're getting somewhere.

Now regarding the AFL and Channel 7. Ahhhh do you think the AFL have no clue and are not informed to endorse prior to the screening of promotions for their code? What sort of organisation would not be involved in its own promotion? Have I overestimated the head honchos ability down at AFL HQs? Please forgive me if I have Xman

Fights in the AFL between essendon and hawthorne were used to promote the passion and rivalry in the game last friday night. There's no other way to look at it...unless you're of the slightly confused buffoon type. And here we all were believing the AFL 'had better morals' than to do such a thing. Ohhhhh the irony Xman

Violent crimes often involve passion yet are still illegal and are hardly glorified.

The fisticuffs were used as evidence of a passionarte rivalry and not as a highlight you bozo!

And yes, 8 and 28yrs averaged together is 18yrs.

Obviously you are completely incapable of reading between the lines. Further proof of your lack of education. And I would rather wear a tee supporting synch swimming that supporting boxing! Mind you, I personally prefer basketball, field hockey or swimming to either of them.

The point is what they showed was from 1985 and 2004 - not 2012. The stuff in 04 resulted in fines galore as it should have. You support a "sport" that the biff is driving children away from. Long term that is going to have a bad effect on your precious game. Take a leave out of the AFL's book instead of criticising it.

Yes violent acts often involve passion, as already stated. This doesn't condone it in any way, it just highlights the intensity of the rivalry.

8 and 28 averages to 18 which is over a decade.

haha even trying to distort the figures to your own advantage you still come up short. 18 years doesnt equate to decadeS

now onto the serious business. you say above that the violence highlights the intensity of the rivalry. yes I agree wholeheartedly. you seem to be changing your tune now Xman, and so you should. violence IS connected with intensity and passion. on the sporting field this is much more often the case than flat out thuggery as you suggested earlier. great you're now turning the corner and realising what is true xman :thumbleft:

Intensity and passion can be controlled, and it can be expressed WITHOUT violence!

What part of that don't you get?

Ah...I get that. So what? Intensity and passion is better and more realistic and entertaining when its raw and uncontrolled. Hence the AFL and Channel 7 glorifying the violent past between hawthorne and essendon as the promotional introduction to last friday nights match. Twas a beautiful inspiring and exciting intro to the game. If you didnt like it TLPG then you must understand you're in the minority. The majority of fans salivate and lap it up like pups at their mothers teet. Its innate in all of us. :)

And downright dangerous and therefore should be stopped!! There you go again - supporting on field violence like the thugby supporter you are. You're pathetic.

The AFL supports and promotes on field violence you silly twat. They did it in the grandest possible fashion on friday night. I think you need a new sport to enjoy and adjudicate TLPG. You're completely at odds with the nature of marngrook.

You have no idea what you are talking about. If they supported on field violence there would be no fines for melees. That is a fact.
