Some might think this way and partially they're right. But I laugh at this project, this experiment, especially since the golddigger got another 3 million. I'm sure many others are the same. So to me this turns people away from being members of the club etc.
Your not stupid you know how media time is valued. The value of the exposure that K has generated would far outweigh the negative view. Only the jealous and the petty will see it your way.

Oh its been valuable exposure however I argue that for that amount of moolah the AFL has dished him, they could have done much richer things...especially if ol khunty boy leaves the AFL with his riches to pastures greener after three years.

Then lets hear how you'd achieve that level of exposure in unfriendly territory for million a year.Impossible.

Khunty boy has slipped down in the ratings of late. Not so sure about his improvement, I'll wait for Xmans response to his slide from 16-24. It should be mildy creative and amusing.
They have over 45 listed players. Seems like he's doing about average which is exactly what I said he would do, earn his spot as a valuable player.

Since when does a team only play their best 22 for an entire year?

Why would they have a list of 46 if it weren't for the fact that they need to play around 30-35 players in the firsts at sometime during the year!?

Exactly, 30 - 35 players max in the one year. Khunt? He's sitting at 24, we've only just recently passed the 1/2 way mark, and he's sliding down the list. Come the end of the year he may well be outside 30. But I'm sure AFL HQ has strict orders placed on the suns to ahem 'give him a chance and we'll make it worth your while'

A modern day farce! Yes, what a spectacle for all to see and marvel at.

Half way?

He's 24 of 46. Just like I said, he would be around average but certainly not the worst on their list, which he is far from. Therefore he has earned his spot as a player and definately as an AFL embassador!

Half way through the season Xman. And dont tell me you think the coaches believe they'll use all 46 during the season. Its nothing more than a 'list' you silly goat. He's gone well past the half way mark of actual players the coach knows he will use :D

We are 17 rounds through 23. How is that half way? #-o

The teams have 46 listed players. If he's above half way he's earned his spot on the list, not necessarily in the top 22. The club pay him a limited fee appropriate for a player around the middle of the list. The AFL pay him the rest which he's earned in spades.

Yeah, almost a month ago!

His contract has been described in the media a number of times.
The Suns paid Hunt an average AFL wage of about $250,000-$300,000 in that initial deal and topped it up with an ASA (Additional Services Agreement).

ASAs are payments to players for promotional work for club sponsors and are currently capped at about $600,000 per club.

The remainder, about 60 per cent of his total salary package, came from the AFL who paid him to be an ambassador.

Gold Coast refused to comment on Hunt's new deal but it is understood the AFL's contribution will be in the vicinity of $500,000 and the Suns will increase their contribution to ensure Hunt remains in the $900,000-$1 million bracket.
