SCG Sellout for Swans vs Cats this Friday Night

Post by Beaussie »

Just 1,000 tickets left for sale. Hopefully all members and SCG members show up.
Swans have Friday on their minds
Sebastian Hassett
June 19, 2012.

FRIDAY night footy and a sell-out crowd? If the instant thought is two powerful Melbourne clubs squaring off at Etihad Stadium, think again. Three days until the bounce, just 1000 public tickets remain for Sydney's only Friday night clash of the season against reigning premiers Geelong.

''I think we had one last year and previously we never got them, so we've got one this year and all the players are really pumped about playing in it,'' Richards said. ''The amount of people coming up to me and saying they're really looking forward to Friday night football in Sydney is fantastic. It's just a shame that we've lost a third of the capacity here because I reckon even if that stand [the old Bradman Stand, being redeveloped] was still there the place would be full.''

The chances of the sold-out sign at the SCG will go up significantly if Goodes makes it through a training session tomorrow.

Good to see the Swans get their first friday night game this year. I think the Swans with their good performance so far this year should be getting a lot more Friday night games next year.

The Swans have requested a Good Friday fixture at the SCG next year.

Where are those leaguies who said Swans crowds were going down this season? Hmm... #-o
