AFL must finally stand up and stop staging in its sport.

AFL and its fans keep denying that milking happens in there game, time to man up and stop this unsportsmanlike like behavior. If they don't stop it then i am afraid that it will be one big farce like we see in Football (soccer).

Yes its on the way to soccer like. Unfortunately the restrictions players have on getting physical in this game is having more and more consequences which make the sport appear immoral and unmanlilike.

This happens to a degree in almost every sport. Basketball, netball, soccer, cricket.....

No in the case of footy it's up to the umpires to stamp it out. The best penalty for a stager is that they never get a free kick. This inevitably leads to frustration and they'll start giving away free kicks and 50 metre penalties. All the umpire has to do is keep his or her eyes open and be in the right position to see what's going on. The best can do that and can stamp out staging PDQ. Soccer's biggest problem is that they only have one referee out there, and the game is so limited that staging is easier to hide.

If staging is getting out of hand (and this - like Xman said - applies to every team sport in the world) it means the arbiters aren't good enough.
