Origin I will be played in Melbourne tonight. But not in Melbourne's hearts, minds or - judging by the sparse media coverage and lack of public enthusiasm - even its subconscious.

So in that statement it eludes to the fact that AFL fans are stuck in there box in Victoria. I mean they report on toe nails and what lawnmower you buy yukk... Talk about hipenotised by the AFL.

Yes I confess, I watched 15 mins of SoO at Etihad Stadium. From that however, I thought there was no atmosphere whatsoever for what is constantly promoted as the pinnacle of RL. Mate vs Mate, State vs State.

Funny how the bit I caught on tv was the commentators saying most of the crowd was from intersate. Clearly Victorians couldn't give a rats about RL. Look at the Melbourne Storm's crowds for further proof.
