Ban NRL from Etihad stadium?

Post by AFL Warrior »

How disgusting, the nrl is polluting the MCG with their rubbish code this Wednesday night. Melbourne is AFL territory and we Victorians don't want this garbage nrl filth here! Watch the number of reported rapes happen with the influx of nrl supporters to Melbourne now!

I wonder if RL fans will bother using the toilet this year? Or will the Etihad staff need to mop up all the urine? :-k

Sold out weeks ago eh? Awesome and good to see the Melbournians love this great game. It's a pity the sydney siders are so fickle and dont support AFL up here as enthusiastically. The GWS Giants FIRST EVER game in the AFL, and against the only other sydney team, could not even half fill the stadium it was held in.

So what? It was still more than ALL (bar four) NRL games that have been played so far this year (including a double header so it was three crowds in effect) - and only one of them was in Sydney!! In fact in Sydney only one other NRL game has broken 30,000!!

Needed to be said.

Melbourne always attend major sporting events in numbers better than any other Australian city. Keep in mind that selling out Etihad does in no way mean the stadium will be full. Access One and other full access seating on level 2 do not sell out. They are open to their members only and will only fill for major events that appeal to this group. Many AFL games have sold out to the public at this stadium and only resulted in crowds of around 40k.

Yes the MElbourne "public", they love RL with a passion. Again, I'm quite impressed at the support of RL in Melbourne. They clearly love it. Good for them I say. Btw Xman? Are you going to the game on wednesday night?

If you think Khunt is tough and strong you'll be in for something special my friend. :D

Stop talking rubbish. You can still get tickets on the Ticketmaster website as of tonight. Why do you RL supporters lie so much?

No, what they love is a good sporting contest, and that's what SOO provides. It's a battle of pride between two teams that are passionate about their states.

If Melbourne loved RL they would attend the storm in numbers comparable to AFL. They don't. Not even close. In fact RU and A league get better attendance in Melbourne.

I Will neither attend or watch. It has had a fair amount of media coverage but is certainly not a topic of discussion **** my circle of acquaintances that's for sure.
