The GWS and suns have more local players than the NRL SOO in Melbourne.

A place in the all Australian team is the awarded to the best for players of the year in the various positions. It's got nothing to do with the team playing anyone!

What a fool! #-o

Who is the arch nemesis of the all Australian NSQ/Qld team, aka the kangaroos? New Zealand? Anyone else? Nope. NZ and NZ and NZ......no one else cares for RL and even NZ prefer RU by a country mile!

Although the Origin is Qld v NSW, my opinion is it is good for the game's expansion. The govt down there are going to give money to promote the game in schools etc.

I am heading down for the game, there is 14 of us meeting in Melbourne from both NSW or QLD. We also have 6 more of my friends that live in Melbourne coming along. All AFL fans, but are getting more interest in the NRL, 2 of them now attend 1-2 Storm games a year As I see it, this can only be a good thing.

I agree but not every year. Once every 2 to 3 years is enough to build interest in the game and not ruin the concept by taking it away from NSW and QLD.

The rest are over $150! #-o

What? I wasn't wrong. Australia are an overwhelming favorite, again! NZ has a chance, despite the game playing second fiddle to RU in a small country. England have no real chance but given the lack of competitive teams challenging Australia's dominance someone has to have a chance. Say the NSW/QLD all stars have a bad game in the semi.....

the AFL GF odds show why this is one of the closest seasons in many years. There is o standout favorite and even sides down to 9th have a realistic chance to win this year.

You might as well chop your competition down to 14 teams, 4 teams have no chance of beating teams above them only themselves.

How stupid are you?

The RLWC has 9of 12 teams considered no chance. Reality is its probably 10. There is also one clear favorite.

The AFL GF has 6 of 18 teams considered no chance. 9 teams are considered pretty good chances.

Difference much?

Wow those sporting bet odds remind me of what i've been saying for some time. 4-6 sure fire basketcases/tanksters in that lot. Yes I agree mostly with eels. A fourteen side would be better but I tend to think they should strip it to 12 sides for now. And then gradually introduce a darwin and tassie side over the next five years. And then stick with a fourteen side comp for atleast a few decades, or until our population doubles. That's a sound model right there. :)
