You could argue that the NRL has 2 friday night live games. WIth the AFL games almost none of the games are live nationally SA and WA are still delayed for Friday, Sat night and Sun games. This year in the most similar game (Friday night) the AFL has destroyed the NRL ratings despite the NRL game being a broadcast of two different games (nationally as well).
Last year per game the AFL had a higher TV audience despite the game not catering to a TV audience (just about every game overlapping another game).
