No that's not the bet. As i said the sun shines out skunks asses every now and then. Uncompetitive is the current state of affairs with all four of these teams copping hidings to nothing and none of them winning 1 match other than against another basketcase. I've been stating uncompetitive as 'they belong in a lower division' all along. And you dont agree with me. Now belonging in a lower division to me is nicely reflected in the bet i offered. That by mid season, if it wasnt for their games against eachother, each of the basketcases would have no more than 1 win to their names. So far they all have none, I'm looking the goods. :D

Those basketcases must sure be happy there's 3 others just like em in the comp. Otherwise they'd stick out like dogs balls and probably be pushed out of the comp quickly. In numbers comes some safety but unfortunately there's a flip side. The quality of the comp is poor now, too many teams and the skilled players are not spread evenly. I bet Demetriou is by his bed each night [-o< [-o< [-o< for things to change because the state of things now are...woeful. The worst state of competition i've ever seen in any professional sporting comp. [-X

AFL 4 thrashings from 9 games understandable given 1 team is in its first season. So just under half.

NRL 3 thrashings from 8 games, just under half.

And your point is?

AFL miles in front in ratings and crowds. People have voted which comp is more interesting!

So the fact the NRL also have a significant proportion of one sided contests and poor teams isn't relevant?

You don't like the truth do you? I dare say you can't handle it!

Ah no it doesnt Xman. The titans belted 8th place manly this weekend. The diff is the AFL's bottom four are set to cop thrashings all season. The faxct you wont bet against me shows you have the same fears. Quite obvious really. :)

Youre saying all 4 are uncompetitive. Yet you won't give a firm definition of what that term means to you. Surely if these bottom teams either win a game against a team above the bottom four, or get close to a finals team, they are competitive.

How's that for a bet? If these 4 teams do one of these things they are competitive and you lose.

Adel - Flogged
GWS - Flogged
WB - Flogged
GCFC - Miracle
BL - Flogged
Melb - Flogged
Coll - Flogged

That's 6 floggings and 1 miracle from 9 as I see it.

Oh i've given a very clear firm definition including exactly how many games each side will win for the first half of the season.

As ive said winning one game in a full half of the season is not my definition of competitive in any competion, nor would it be for any other sports fan or expert.

If you're not willing to bet these teams cant win more than 1 misely game against an opponent in the top (cough) 14 for the entire 1st half of the season then you really dont think much of GC Melb Brissy and GWS now do you Xman?

Your unwillingness to take this bet on says all i need to know xman!

I'll pay 5, not the lions. It was the dockers fault they couldn't convert.

AFL is a higher scoring game. Bigger winning margins are part of that. Losses suffered by collingwood, Adelaide and the bulldogs won't happen regularly. They'll still probably be in the 8 come September. If losses like this turned fans away the crowds and ratings would drop. They are up in record numbers.

So true look at the Eels on bottom of the table almost beat 3rd place Cronulla and the sharks were playing at home, it was 18-18 at half time. 24-18 full time. Parra also beat Manly Sea Eagles last years premiers in round 5.
The Titans also beat the cowboys who are in 4th spot on the ladder.
