Really, now that is pathethic  , there is only 3 out of 9 games where either team have a chance of winning, according to sportsbet that is. They got it pretty right last year with the AFL, why would this year be any different.
Well essendon and nth melb are a similar level, and essendon beat Geelong last year :D

Hawthorn are GF favorites

GWS and suns are uncompetitive as already mentioned

Fremantle are hard to beat at home. If it was in Brisbane it could be even money

Richmond and Melbourne could go either way.

Nothing new. I've already said the suns and giants would be uncompetitive. They will develop over the next 3-4 years. However it will be funny to watch them get higher crowds and membership numbers than many NRL clubs!

The rest of the comp is pretty even, especially the top 5.

Brisbane and melbourne are pretty even with the rest of the comp? If you believed your own words you would've taken on my bet. Brrrk brrk brrkbrrk

Xman your cred is officially dusted on this matter. :D
Well Brisbane have a 50% winning result, many many times better than the 3 bottom teams in the NRL!

Melbourne will win games as well, just like the good results they had last year. they had 8 wins and 12 losses. If this is your interpretation of uncompetitive you're dumber than I thought! #-o

You've got nothing but reserves!
That's all great Xman, so take on my bet then, I'm sue to lose given your thoughts. :)

There was no need to tell us your real name Sue! [-(

But Sue, seriously, whether Melbourne are in the bottom 4 in a few months is irrelevant. You are claiming they are uncompetitive. If they dont win more than say 3 matches by the of the year you may be right. But If they win more than the NRLs last team you are either wrong or you are calling the bottom side in the NRL uncompetitive too. Which one is it Sue? :-k

Just an example of how punters feel about AFL betting in general. No money to be made by punters in this lopsided competition. lol

Its a single game between one of the leagues top teams and a brand new team. Didnt the Cowboys spend 3 of their first 4 years on the bottom of the ladder? :-k

As already stated, the fact that the suns and giants get crowds and ratings equal or better than the NRL ladder leaders the Storm shows how poor the NRL's only real expansion effort really is. #-o

Nice attempt at excuses, you get funnier all the time XMAN. And so does the AFL.

Yet, another smashing Carl 122 v Coll 62, this is becoming embarrassing for you AFL folk

Time for you to bring up an irrelevant comeback and try to change the subject :blahblah:

Was the broncos game close?

The AFL game rated over 1.2b plus had a crowd of 85k. Somehow the fact that it was one sided was hardly relevant.

Melbourne did good today eh Xman? Would you say they were ahhh "competitive" out there today?

And the Brissy basketcase lions look like they're right out of it against fremantle with less than half the amount of shots on goal early in the 3rd quarter.

Competing their hearts out these two sides are

Just saw the score with the Lions and Fre, I am saying 3 floggings out of 4. If the Fre boys could kick the ball straight, the score would have been a a*se whooping. 24 scoring shots and they only got 8, isn't this the basis of the game, being able to kick a ball straight  . How many more went astray and couldn't even manage a behind 8-[

Well done XMAN with the how did the raiders go comment and proving me right that you would get side tracked and off topic.

Even a die hard AFL fan would call this a flogging, like u said fremantle missed so many kicks but look at the stats, The are gunna be down there with GWS, Thuns from this performance.

Fremantle Brisbane

1.4 (10) Q1 2.1 (13)

4.7 (31) Q2 3.2 (20)

6.13 (49) Q3 5.3 (33)

8.16 (64) Q4 5.5 (35)

The scoreline might not be bad but that stats tell a whole different story. Really bad signs for the future if this doesn't turn around.

Yah, Melbourne were poor. Clearly not adapting to a new coach, but it's still only round one. If they win one match by round 6 they will be equal with a number of NRL teams!

Brisbane did very well in Perth. That was hardly a smashing! :?

So how do you rate WB performance XMAN, that will be 4 from 6 floggings now. Your excuse of GC were your saving grace this week so far. I was expecting 5 from 6. BL were flogged champ, don't make yourself look stupid. Kicking straight is part of your game, one to be caught, two to score a goal. It was bad for form that saved the scoreline.

Bookmakers are not bothering to offer a head-to-head market on today's match Between GWS and the West Coast. It is a matter of the Eagles by how far?

HAHAHA, What a joke the AFL has become.
