really ?

a 6-0 scoreline is a blowout is it ?

I rest my case

No score is pathetic. The definition of a blowout!
a side scoring no points ... beaten by a side scoring just once
makes for a very ... very close game
as tight as a drum

a blowout ?
like I said ... you wouldn't know one in RL if it bit you in the @ss.........

One score to zero. How exciting. No wonder the NRL drag the big crowds in.

firstly, it's rnd 2. Second, where did anyone say the suns and giants would be decent teams this year? :^o

please explain why then ?

as I said

the Titans won 6 of their first 8 games
the Warriors 7 of their first 8

hell

even the western reds won 4 of their first 8 games

was the VFL ready for expansion or not ?

it seems by creating 2 woeful .. awful teams ... this was done by making the other 16 ALL weaker in the process .. & a few of these other 16 have fallen way down .. they simply have no chance of competing at all in 2012
its appalling
yet dopey VFL fans still lined up like sheep .. baaaing away ...signing up for memberships .. like brained washed ****
no questions
no thoughts about anything ...

a sick .... flawed system that has led to this

while the NRL will enjoy a wonderfully close exciting season where probably 15 of the 16 clubs fans know their team is a chance of playing finals footy
VFL fans are just clueless

for shame VFL
for shame [-X [-X [-( [-(
What a load of horseshit!
The reason the suns and giants aren't competitive yet is because they are full of talented kids which will take 3-4 years to develop. The AFL could have plundered all clubs and weakened them all but they didn't so clubs like collingwood essendon carlton etc are still strong. Once the suns and giants mature they will have far better sport than just throwing some random team together. The storm is a classic example of a successful team with no significant local identity.
you think one of the most VFL apathetic areas on earth .. Western Sydney
will wait 4 years ?

hell Gold Coasters won't either ... evidence of their first home crowd of 2012 being 50% below their average of 2011

its istant success .. or at the very least a team worthy of support for these areas

or

F the hell off

it looks like it will be the latter :-k

Time will tell. Fans come when a team succeeds, and these teams will in 3-4 years. Unless your the storm.

there are very few ex pat Vics to blindly support the midgits in Western Sydney
even if they start winning in year 4
no one will care

How so? They will be financially supported until they are competitive. With their quality picks they will both be finals teams in 5 years. The fans will sign up once they are. The current memberships and crowds show the interst is there. It could very well wain like all non heartland markets do. But they will return when success comes.

So the AFL is never going to impose a cap on these clubs in your little fantasy 4 year world xman. They will struggle to keep so many young guys for 4 years, as with all the other AFL players they will be swapped around to chase the money before the club has time for sucess and as raider says, by that time the crowds will be pretty bored and will disapear. You are not talking victorian fans here, your trying to break into a new market, where the people are not going to wait 4 years just to make a final serious. The only saving Grace on that mindset, is the AFL are willing to throw so much money at them. That will only work for so long.
Getting back on topic though the sun's are still being flogged after a whole year in the comp, with minor no improvement, so not sure your logic is working at l yet. They were just smashed by nearly 100 points.

The suns and giants will take 3 years to be competitive and another 2 to be finals or more. Everyone knows and expects this. Fickle new fans in foreign markets come and go with success. Many wont stay away while these teams become established but will join when they are successful.

Of course they will be under a cap, just like collingwood, Geelong, hawthorn etc who have a star team currently.

Ok, do tell.

Are 32 - 12, 42-18, 30-0 smashings? :-k

Take your pick with 12-0 and 14-6.

30 - 0 is a smashing. The other results (32-12 and 42-18 I didnt view so could not be sure whether it was close and a team took off in the last 10 mins. In any case none of the results you list are in the same solar system as the 4 thrashings which occurred in the AFL comp this weekend.

In regards to 12 - 0 and 14 - 6. Again you've stated clearly before on this forum that you "know nothing about RL". Once again you've proven you have no credibility here. But please do keep trying. Its funny to watch. :)

Hmm I would say a 32-12 and 42-18 are a smashing. The fact that you are defending them is laughable. That would make 3 this round. The AFL had 4 but also have one more game per round too.

Ahbup! [-X This is where you should've pulled your tongue in Xman. The drool which follows is from a man who has stated he knows nothing about RL.

Again, funny stuff Xman. :)

Now for some reality. The results you cite "32-12 and 42-18" in the NRL are akin to 6-8 goal beatings in the AFL comp.

Nm183 v gws 54
Wce 166 v melb 58
Carl 154 v bl 63
St Kiddiefiddle 139 V the Thuns 47

All these games are 15 goal plus hammerings! Serious cause for concern and those in AFL land are making concerned comments in the media. Xman's in his own world on this one. Again funny to watch him struggling in lala land.

These teams approximately tripled their oppositions scores. How does that compare to the thrashings in the NRL? Pretty well I would have thought. You don't need to understand a game in detail to see an 18-0 or 32-12 score is a caning!

Triple shmiple Xman. You have clearly claimed you "know nothing about RL". Again you're showing it. Your mathematical tomfoolery doesnt make you look any better in this case as those who know both games are well aware teams can and often do put on 18points in RL in 10 to 15mins. 15 goals in marngrook on the other hand?? Most AFL teams cant put that many goals on the board in an entire game!

Oh Xman you really are in lala land mate! =D> :salute: =D>
