XMAN: milznjim got it, why are you so confused.
So now you are claiming that the crowd was mainly dogs fans, it would seem you’re a little confused and contradicting yourself. I am sure the dogs fans would not have been at the game when the free tickets were given away.
Based on your comment, there would have been 7.5K of members and a good chunk of bulldogs of the crowd. If there were say 2k free ticket holders then that would make the crowds around the same for paying customers at both codes game. Given I have proven above that Suns are selling discount tickets at cheaper price than the paying Titan fans, essentially the Titans got better numbers and profit then the Suns. So you’re saying the Suns are even more pathetic. Well Done
Given the Suns are only in their second year, people should be excited to get to the Suns games. AFL are paying millions of dollars for the 3 ranked Australian RL player, they are throwing millions of dollars at the Suns and additional advertisement. I would suggest it is the Suns crowds that are really looking pathetic.
Lastly your comment about the crowd being bulldogs, I really think you are looking silly here as the majority of the Suns home crowd numbers are expat VIC/SA/WA or games moved to the Gabba to pick up Lions supporters.
E.g
- Metricon Stadium recorded its biggest ever figure when 23,302 people watched the Suns tackle defending premiers Collingwood in Round 18 of the 2011 AFL season,
- Gold Coast debuted in Round 2 on 2 April 2011 against Carlton at the Gabba in front of a crowd of 27,914
