Heard it all before Xman. But the contact in MArngrook is incidental i.e. players are going for the ball. The contact in RL is purposeful and with intent i.e. players go for the man. Big difference. Furthermore the average AFL player might make 5 tackles a game. League its between 15 and 70.

Xman its easy to make you look silly because you're clutching at straws and telling fibbs. Try be honest, objective and tell the truth sometimes, like me.

Hmm, not sure what game youre supposedly playing but getting cruched in a marking contest, choosing to fill the gap in front of a leading forward, or laying a solid bump to protect a player are hardly incidental!

And by the way RL has a defensive line, "running around this" is mostly not done, you gotta go 'through' it Xman

Oh dear KE! It is hardly a challenge to run through a defensive line of big immobile gorillas. You just run around them. You know, change direction a few degrees. You should try it some time!

I can honestly say now I have played both codes that ARs is tougher because contact can come at any time and from any direction. In RL its just all so predictable

RL defences aren't individuals out there .. they're wolf packs.. communicating & working together
A mongballer would not only not be able to breach an RL defence ... they would get seriously hurt trying.

I can honestly say now I have played both codes that ARs is tougher because contact can come at any time and from any direction.

VFL is a gutless sport .. played by cats .. who only hit someone when they're not looking
as they would not have the courage to do this any other time ... they would not take on an RL defence .. as our boys would see the singlet wearing lady boy coming ... & promptly bury said stick insect with brutality far beyond the grape bruising contact he'd be used to in fumbleball.

In Marngrook you get penalised if you aim for the man and not the ball. In two man tackles in RL you get penalised if you aim for the ball and not the man. Are you thikker in the head than i thought Xman?

Well said, ammusing and spot on. I met shane mumford, one of the enforcers in the swans side recently. His build in comparison to NRL players i've met was that of a svelte slimmed down version of lady gaga. I was pretty surprised.

Xman you should listen to raider sometime. He was also spot on with the prediction for the GWS first round crowd, unlike yourself or beaussie
