Melbourne Storm lose $8 million each and every year
Despite fantastic results on the field and multiple grand final appearances and premierships, the Melbourne Storm continue to post losses of $8 million every year.

So we have 14 out 16 nrl clubs making a loss.
The rudderless are sponsorship less.
The gummie sharks are CEO less.
The Storm have an archor of $8 million annual debt.
The default coast are bankrupt.

Re: Melbourne Storm lose $8 million each and every year
Only 5 teams made a loss last year. 2 by less than 2% of their annual revenue.Raiderdave wrote:cos789 wrote:So we have 14 out 16 nrl clubs making a loss.

So which are these teams that are almost insolvent?

I'm not really up to date with the VFL but I'm sure that's not the case.Raiderdave wrote:cos789 wrote:So we have 14 out 16 nrl clubs making a loss.

In fact the VFL is probaly stronger than the nrl especially when a lot of nrl crowds look like AL crowds.
Meanwhile the AFL is booming in every KPI imaginable.
The WAFL is up. The WAFL rates higher than nrl in WA.
The SANFL is up strongly. I'm pretty sure the SANFL would rate a lot higher than the nrl in SA.
The NEAFL has been an immediate success, with an immediate upgrade of clubs and players.
The NEAFL also is televised.
Nice try Cos.
