Titans desperately need support of Gold Coast

Post by Beaussie »

Titans are stuffed. The people of the Gold Coast have spoken. They are no longer interested in the Titans. Meanwhile the Suns continue to dominate the Gold Coast sports marketplace.

THE time has come for Gold Coast to decide whether it wants a football team because, on Saturday night's evidence, it's letting down managing director Michael Searle and his players.

Little more than 11,000 attended the club's first home game of the year, meaning empty seats filled the backdrop on television coverage.

The worry for Searle is that two years ago, the Titans had five crowds over 20,000 at Skilled Park. That same year they had only one under 13,000. Now consider this - in the club's past six home games back to midway through last year, it has had only one crowd in excess of 13,000

You've done it again dave, you've just pointed out that News is no longer with you - they're against you.
This is a much bigger issue than factual evidence of pisspoor crowds for the tittians.

Funny how NRL fans never claimed that news ltd were favoring them when they were controlled by them. In fact they used to complain about the treatment they got by the media. Yet now it's over they're still complaining! #-o
