Yeah, brain burp there EK. Of course it's based on race since one side is exclusively the one race.

as a single point this is actually right. Back in the really racist days it was indeed like that.
Like what ?
There was racial predudice and there were tours like the early cricket tour that celebrated aboriginal involvement.

There is stall racial prejudice and it seems there is still these celebrations of aboriginal involvement.
What's changed ?
My whole point is that these events are a throwback, a link to those darker days.
Just because they are well intentioned doesn't account for much especially now.
Those original tours could be excused for having the right intentions.
We're a bit smarter or politically correct now. Aren't we ?
Nice try Cos.

cos and Xman clearly the pair of you shrunken brained twits never read the link i provided earlier. You lazy arsed dumbfukks. The concept of race is a human construct, not a scientific construct, and it is outdated and in fact ironically racist. did you not notice many of those indigenous athletes were also probably of celtic background? As i've said umpteen times already its the 21st century and australia, particularly the coastal populated areas which play a lot of RL, is not black and white no more. Xman give yourself a dumbarse point aswell!

now the pair of you please in future spare me of your dumbarsedness and read the educational material i provide you with. [-X

Thankyou for finally backing me up on this point.
Any event based on race is therefore technically racist.
Thus this was a racist event.

Thankyou for finally backing me up on this point as well.

It is not about skin colour.
Historically aborigines were referred to as "blacks" everything else as "whites".
Same with the negroes in America and the RSA I believe.

I agree.
So these events have no place in modern society.
They are indeed a throwback to darker days.

.
Nice try Cos.

It did not! It was about assimilation back in those days, not celebration!

What's changed? It's no longer about assimilation. Now it IS about celebration. It's not a throwback, and you're being mighty narrow in your thinking if you believe it is.

cos, you dont get the fundamental difference between race and indigeneity. you really are that dumb. whether uneducated racist idiots who cant comprehend the fact the game is a celebration of australian culture but rather wish to hold onto the past and call it a game of blacks versus whites doesnt matter, this is just another sad indication of australian's inability to move on from our shameful past. You're proving to be one of them cos. shame shame shame on you.

nsw compardre you're right above but we may need to forget this divisive ignoramous who cant understand what Indigenous means and prefers to take the more divisive and outdated paradigm of 'we are separate "races"'. He see's in black and white and cant understand the importance of celebrating the achievements of those who identify as Indigenous. we've tried and tried my littlest AFL fan but this dill doesnt seem to get it. the best way would be for Xman to serve him up a fat dumbarse point, but alsa, he wont as his nose is lodged up beaussies butt.

What a messed up place talking footy has become
