I think two games are scheduled for the SCG this year. One in heritage round between the Tigers and Rabbitohs.

Bunnies & Tigers have played their heritage rnd clash there in 2009 & 2010
a tidy 60K to those 2 games

Dragons Played the Roosters there in 2010.... a lazy 38K attended that game

for some reason the Tigers didn't play the bunnies there last year
the only game there last year was the Dragons n Bulldogs
played in pouring rain... with 32K in attendance

Bunnies n Tigers back there again in 2012
30K plus assured again

crowds dropping to as low as 25K
not a particularly good record there either ... they won't be playing many more games out there I can assure you
except as the away team to GWS
& that'll stop in about 2014 when Skoda will be plenty big enough for that game too

Oh there's a great example of making figures prove anything you like! The average is still higher than any other average at any Sydney NRL venue! I'll check but I'm pretty sure that was only one game in 2007, compared to multiple games more recently. Of course the average is going to drop if you do that!

I've followed the SCG/Homebush debate for some time and was shocked to find out just how poorly (or cheaply) designed Homebush is. Homebush is certainly easy to get to, but apart from that the only other benefit is it's capacity.
Capacity aside, the SCG is a much better viewing experience.

Yes, designed for the Olympics with no thought to it's post -Olympic purpose.
The "state-of-the-art" one bank design was simply the cheapest build.
It has none of the benefits of a multi-tiered stadium.
