Bahahahaha, the swans would be behind every NRL club in Sydney, heck even the sharkies and panthers would piss on them from a great height.

yep

you divide Sydney's population by 9 ( the numb of NRL teams in Sydney )
Panthers 12K ... out of 525K
Swans ... 25K out of 4.75 Million

do the math .. it aint hard

& even this can be deceiving ...
Manly only has 200K living in its area
yet have 15K loyal fans

the Sharks .. about 200K .. a basket case on the field .. not one title to their name
but 12K loyal fans

pinching one off from a great height .. & rubbing it in the faces of the Swans I'd of thought
RL SOO II 4.194 Million veiwers
RL SOO I 4.068 Million
NRL GF 3.968 Million
VFL Grand Final 3.620 Million
SOO III 3.364 Million
NRL Prelim 2.219 Million
Kangaroos V NZ 1.214 Million

Yep but then many times the number of expats from AFL states in Sydney versus the reverse. Nature of the economy.
Oh that is a lot of codswallop, enarelle! There are just as many ex Sydneysiders in Melbourne as there are ex Melbourne residents in Sydney.

Try and find a pub/club in Sydney where there is a discussion about the Swans even during the season. The Swans have got their expats tightly around them and that is that. When their own CEO/Chairman says they dont have any latent support I dont know what a better indicator is.

Expats or not the Swans are much more popular in Sydney than the Storm in Melbourne.

exactly .. not quite

Swans 13 years in Syd( 1995 ).. average crowd 15,976
Storm 13 years in Melb(2011) .. average crowd 14,288

pretty close I'd of thought

LOL

Storms first 13 years produced 10 finals appearances, 5 GFs and 3 premierships.

Swans first 13 years in Sydney produced 2 finals appearances, no GFs and no premierships.
The swans then made the finals in the next 2 years and their crowd average went up to 36k!! Note, also like the storm, they had barely any FTA coverage. Unlike the storm they had NO payTV coverage. :D

I wonder if the storm will get even above even 20k average next year?? I doubt it. Their average barely increased at all despite them making the GF almost every second year!

And most of the time the Storm cheats have been around, they were playing at a crap ground, and when they did move into the new one, they got busted for being cheating lying merkins who ripped my team off in a GF and 3 Prelim finals. Before they were busted in 2010, they had played 3 home games at the dome and were averaging 23,000+, then the shit hit the fan.

They'll get back there, but it's going to take a couple more seasons to people to forget, or, maybe they'll get better support when News LMD don't own their sorry arse.

Seriously, but but but......They had a full year of winning this year at their new stadium and still failed to draw over 10k for a number of games.

But but but that's a burp you're talking to!
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.
