evidence of ratings figures..... I claim :-k ?

again .. you seem be confusing me with the organisation that actually puts them together
why would a reputable company have to provide evidence of their work to a whining little pratt like you ?

I don't seem to recall RL fans ever asking these fine organisations to explain & prove their metro figures
just because they have bumbleball in front ?

take a leaf out of our book .... K

Now you're getting the idea, Xman.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

Yes the AFL guys see 5 city metro as delivered by "god" and inviolate yet the regional ratings are the spawn of the devil. They have this bizarre idea that the TV execs have created theses mysterious regional ratings which ignore large tracts of the population and are double counted that they then "trap' unsuspecting companies and media organizations into buying advertising space. not sure how many laws would be broken by such a practice but that never enters the thinking.

At the end of the day OZTAM,Nielsen,Repucom and others will continue to collect the data as is,publish it and the newspapers and others will report it. the AFL will continue to be silent and not claim "wait a minute what happened to all our other supporters/"

Alternatively theyll just to have to cash in on their 1.253b with their tail between their legs.

You've been asked to provide a link that shows how these regional figures cover all areas of Australia evenly. Any luck with that yet?

You kind of missed the point of my previous post. A small percentage of the AFL crew like to argue against the regional ratings but to the rest of the world they take then as published. You can go and check the maps on the OZTAM site it is not that hard.

The only people who take them as published are dumb and don't understand the major issues with the regional figures. If they saw the coverage maps they would realise how unreliable they are. Prove that the figures represent the WHOLE of Australia with no gaps and no overlaps, please.

They are a sample of regional Australia. For the purposes of gauging the popularity of most programs which are equally popular in each state and region they are probably reasonable. However we all know that the NRL is more popular in NSW and QLD, and the AFL is more popular in the other states. Therefore the fact that OZTAM does not cover all areas of each state equally is significant because they over represent NSW QLD and under represent the other states.

Therefore they maybe reputable and of value, but not in the context of this ratings code war.

I can see why too. It's all you've got, and even then it's wrong.

Ask enarrelle whether the Lions games are on FTa and PayTV at the same time.
