Was it the Suns fault that the total TV ratings(AFL) in QLD for last year were lower than the year before when there was only one team?
Was it the Suns fault that the Swans have bled members for several years now?
Perhaps the simple answer is that when it comes to north of the Murray the AFL peaked 5 years ago.
The swans played in rain almost every game.
The lions are shite and their members didn't resign. Hardly surprising and happens to the counrties strongest clubs when struggling.
QLD ratings would also reflect the poor form of the QLD teams.
You are right though. QLD and Sydney did peak 5 or more years ago. Thats hardly surprising since they also peaked on the ladder at the same time. They'll rise again as they start to rise on the ladder.
Which brings me to my next point. Why are the storm struggling with crowds and ratings? They should be doing far better given their amazing success.
