Sonny Bill worth more than Karmichael?
http://www.skynews.com.au/sport/article ... 02562&vId=
For all the laughter from RL supporters about the $3 million Gold Coast and the AFL paid for Karmichael Hunt, all of a sudden here are the Sydney Roosters putting up even more to bring Sonny Bill Williams back to the NRL!
So who uses more money to bring in players? I leave it to you to decide.

Re: Sonny Bill worth more than Karmichael?
KHunt had played very little AFL in his life before signing.
$BW played 5 season in the NRL and was one of the top players in the game before leaving.
SBW is more worthy of being paid those amounts of money.

K hunt was paid 90% of his contract for marketing. He certainly didn't get that much for his skills that's for sure!Topper wrote:http://www.skynews.com.au/sport/article ... 02562&vId=

He was way too short for a key defender and way too slow for a small defender. He was made to look stupid by multiple forwards of all different shapes, sizes and skill levels. But remember, he was a RL elite after all.

K Hunt is showing all of us how a skilled player in RL = a poorly skilled player in the AFL
He has helped so much media attention for the AFL he has been well worth the fee plus more.

who in their right mind thought he would be anything other then a dud at flogball having played it for 5 minutes ?
but that didn't stop the desperate .... losing the battle badly in the non traditional states AFL so needing NRL players even if they can't play to give their new sides a profile boost , from signing him up to a million plus a year .. 3 year deal did it ?
how embarrasing for them
what other code would do something so mind bogglingly stupid .... the AFL has a rampant ego
Old Khunt is sitting their laughing his tits off
I can't play
they knew this

Re: Sonny Bill worth more than Karmichael?
So wait, genius. You're saying he doesn't fumble or miss as much as AFL players. That's about as childish an answer as you can give. That of course would make him a standout player, not the complete dud he actually was.
The reality is his standout skills in RL are so basic compared to those required in AFL he was shown up as a complete dud with limited aerobic ability and little co-ordination. But he was a great RL player, apparently.
Too funny!
As for izzy and K, they generate media reports every day and were a great investment by the cashed up AFL.

You know there is something called stats! They are used for things like super coach and other statistical based games.
http://www.footywire.com/AFL/footy/tr-gold-coast-suns
Not only did KHunt get the third lowest score for his entire team he was one of the lowest in the league despite playing almost every game! The games he did play he got few if any stats. He scored so low because he fumbled the most. Most of his disposals were what's called a clanger! This means ineffective! Straight to the opposition! He had the most goals kicked against him by his direct opponent than anyone in the league!
He was too short and too slow.
Essentially, he alone fumble bumbled and failed more than almost anyone in the AFL (apart from a few 1st year kids who played barely any games) and the stats are there to prove it!

Yet he was a RL star

First numbers are what count, double derp. It's called a commitment. And you lot call us on "wasting money". Hello pot, meet kettle. And 1 million more.cooee wrote:$3 million over 3 years for KHunt. $1 million per season.

Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.
