Raiders jersey shows struggle in $1m sponsor search
BY LEE GASKIN, RUGBY LEAGUE

The Canberra Raiders are still chasing $1 million for a naming rights sponsor, but until they do they will start the NRL season with the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group in the prime position.

The Green Machine has so far failed in its bid to find a corporate backer to be the club’s naming rights sponsor after The Tradies and CFMEU reduced their commitment.

And they need a charity that isn't solely representative of the ACT either. I wonder how much money they'd be taking away from the far south coast?
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

And it makes hacks of the statement that RL is well supported in Canberra.

I'm not convinced. I think AFL has a good presence.

I'm told that the surface at Ainslie's ground leaves Bruce Stadium for dead.
