No I disagree. They will fold outright.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

You may be right. Parramatta may have to merge with Canterbury leaving Penrith with no merger partner and no other option but to fold.

I have a feeling that Parramatta is more likely to merge with West Tigers than Canterbury.

they'll be no mergers in Sydney's west of NRL clubs til GWS are seen off

the NRL will make sure there are as many of their clubs standing in the AFL's way in Western Sydney as possible
they'll be given every assistance , which off the back of a huge TV deal in a couple of years will be considerable if required

I think it won't be required
GWS will disappear up their own @rse holes soon enough ..............

The AFL has too much money for the western Sydney RL clubs to cope with. Penrith are gone and Parramatta will merge with West Tigers.

It has only bailed out Port Adelaide, and even then they will be okay once AAMI Stadium is sold.

Your sport can't bide your time. You need to fight back, and your leaders don't have the courage to thinking it will all blow over. It won't.

Actually it's the NRL executives who are loading up their wheelbarrows.

A Wests Tigers/Penrith merger would be hilarious. Wests Tigers are already an amalgamated shit pile lacking a clear identity and connection to the people of western Sydney.

I was merging West Tigers with Parramatta, Beaussie, not Penrith. But you're right! It would be highly amusing!

You AFL guys come up with the best myths and legends I must admit. Much better than those ancient Greeks and Romans. GWS causing the demise of the Panthers or any of the western Sydney league teams in any period of time is up with the best of them. This is the same GWS who have found 3k in "locals" to buy a $50 membership. Are they following the Swans strategy on how to "destroy" rugby league in Sydney? If so it is incredibly devious as the Swans plan seems to be break the rugby league by increasing its juniors, attendances,TV ratings, merchandising etc When the next NRL TV deal doubles in size the Swans will feel so close to success they wont want to share it with GWS

Can't wait till next season to see how bad the GWS mob really are, and I'm also looking forward to the drop the swines will have.

Glorious times ahead.
