The only thing the AFL did wrong was believe that little schemer, and that was actually partly the media's fault because they fell for it as well. Once the truth came out, the AFL's credibility was quickly restored and the entire blame fell rightly on Duthie.King-Eliagh wrote:Kim Duthie is clearly not the cleverest young lass but she still outsmarted the St Kilda club and those in charge of the AFL for months![]()
I mean the disgusting men involved with her is one thing, but the way StKilda and the AFL handled the whole saga was an embarrassment. A double whammy for the AFL's credibility this year. Was funny but very sad too.
Rugby League "a culture to despise"
Re: Rugby League "a culture to despise"
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

And now that the truth has come out about Duthie, all is right in the world once again.

Re: Rugby League "a culture to despise"
No its written down in history as one of the most shameful events the AFL has endured. It's scarred all those involved and left an unremovable stain on the game that will not fade for decades.Topper wrote:And now that the truth has come out about Duthie, all is right in the world once again.
I still cant believe you feel this episode can be swept under the carpet so easily. I guess what Raider says about the AFL sweeping everything under the carpet extends to their fans also. Topper me boy, are you deaf, blind and dumb?

It will disappear because there was only one person behind it all. Duthie. And she's done.

She's still got a presence in here doesnt she Topper? And I'm 100% confident to say her saga will come up hundreds no thousands of times more in several different forms of media in Australia for decades. You really think she will just 'disappear'
She's part of Australian folklore now Topper you silly baboon. Pardon the pun but she's on the tip of many tongues, including yours in this thread.

I only mentioned her because you were trying to blame other people for things that she was responsible for. She is not part of Australian folklore, and to say otherwise is highly irregular.

A Canberra Raiders player too. The Raiders were to investigate the allegations the pic raised. Perhaps you could enlighten us on the investigation Raiderdave. Outcome?
