Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park
Re: Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park
I read that a first nations application has been put in to stop the Victoria park site - citing cultural heritage would be destroyed. Watch this space - but if that happens then what? I am thinking that there is a chance that the Brisbane Games could be scrapped - it is already a shit show. Stay tuned.

Re: Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park
Queensland will have a shortage of more than 50,000 workers when construction begins next year on venues for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, data is forecasting.
Infrastructure Australia data comparing supply and demand for construction jobs in Queensland shows a supply of 42,200 workers as of July — just over half of the 83,300 required to meet current demand.
That's forecast to get worse as the Olympics approach, peaking in March next year with a projected 43,800 workers to meet a demand of almost 98,500 — a shortfall of 54,700 jobs.

looks like there is bigger issues over court cases and time! the potential of the AI robot is still a decade away
Re: Brisbane Stadium - Victoria Park
AI is not all it is cracked up to be - overhyped and not really profitable at the moment in and of itself. Been listening to a few podcasts about this very thing - how Open AI burns through cash much more than any revenue - and uses a dodgy annualised revenue to report.makingnrlfansgowacko wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 7:39 pmlooks like there is bigger issues over court cases and time! the potential of the AI robot is still a decade away

in the case of the Brisbane stadium it will be shortage of man power that is the issue, with the open border policies that the current lot of clowns have in power there is still a supposed skill shortage
