$750,000 of corporate tickets left in the bag for the AFL GFBeaussie wrote:Lies, lies and more lies. You're pathetic Raider. Again, you couldn't sellout your grand final despite tickets being on sale since July. Pathetic.
Hundreds of Tickets still not sold for AFL Grand Final

LOL .... is this all you've gotBeaussie wrote:You lot don't even charge people to get in. Freebies galore with a Big Mac purchase at McDonalds. Hilarious part is you still can't average much more than 10k per game. Hilarious I tell ya.
we do this no more or less ... then any code does
including your silly little sport squisshed up in the Sthn corner of Australia... the only place anyone cares about it , the only place it will ever have any interest
unable to break out of this area after 115 years of trying

Our expansion teams are still going strong. Not one has folded. Hmm, lets now look at your codes' expansion history.
Adelaide Rams?
Western Reds?
South Queensland Crushers?
Hmm, I'm sure there are more too. Expansion has not been a real success for the NRL ay. The people of Australia have clearly spoken. Your code is confined to some parts of NSW and QLD. And before you say it, Melbourne Storm losing $11 million annually is not a shining example of successful expansion either.

ah beaussie .. you're in fine form today
strong
2 are dead broke & on a rapid decline in support
the other 2 won't turn a profit for a very long time , & will be the 2 lowest supported AFL sides ( by some way ) just behind the other 2 expansion AFL sides .... probably for ever
yeah.... nailing it from one end of Australia to the other is the AFL

bigger then 60% of NRL clubs .... GWS & the Suns .... ? phhtttt pleaseborgidiom wrote:yet would still blow away 60% of league clubs. but we'll see won't we
Swans & Lions crowds are falling rapidly
the Swans tiny crowd advantage over a couple of Sydney NRL sides will be gone in a few years
no such slanted boasts about being the most supported club in Sydney .. despite being the only club in that sport .. in that city
will be possible then
& beaussies ridiculous claim of the AFL's expansion sides still being strong .... will be exposed for the joke that statement truly is

2010's membership numbers from Marchborgidiom wrote:oh i just saw this,

... ended up being 143K anyway
that 143K grew to 178K in 2011 ...& that has grown from about 85K in 2006
an increase of more then 100% in 5 years
we are a sport that has only started pushing memberships in the last few years .... & what staggering growth has been achieved
we'll probably get another 100% increase in the next 5 years ... as the NRL hasn't even hit the tip of its potential where memberships are concerned
alas .... the AFL has hit its peak with memberships numbers
I don't even think it posted an increase in 2011 .. did it ?
its stagnent ... its growth is finished here much like its average attendance figure peak of 37K ... it will never hit that mark again.
both will wind back with the decline of the sport in NSW & QLD
& AFL expansion will officially be a failure
