no
the key phrase is british
the fumbling game is nothing but a mish mash of rules from " british" games

Its about as Australian as the Tower Bridge & the Blarney stone
Created in Australia by an Australian.

As with most things you say sooks this is only a partial truth. As you well know the perennially drunken fool that 'invented' the game went to Rugby school in good 'ol England!!! You know the one that gives its name to Rugby Union and Rugby League. Might be a hint in there for ya pal lolololol!!!!

The drunken fools main sport was cricket. When he returned to Australia he was a well known cricket player, administrator and drunk. He wanted a simple less physical game than Rugby for his precious cricketers to play in the off season. The cricketers were mainly soft sons of the wealthy elite of Melbon unused to real physical and athletic activity. (Pretty much like todays fumblers lololololol).

Hence he invented a mish mash low contact kick and giggle sport that combined the rules of Rugby, Soccer and other ball games of the time in England. He also added some personal variations that lessened the chance of the lilywhite softies from incurring nasty bruises, sprained muscles or blisters on their pristine little hands and feet. Ouch!!!!!!

So there ya have it sookie. The truth!!! The game was indeed 'invented' in Australia by an Australian. Well done on that point pal. But it was infact based on games already played in the 'ol dart for decades.

I know you will appreciate this history lesson sooks. I give you permission to use this post on any/or all of the places on the net you inhabit. You can do this at no charge. I enjoy educating folk like yourself pal.

Have a great day sooks.

Tom Wills was born in Australia. The original rules for the game were drawn up in Melbourne. This isnt rocket science.

Sooksie, you will have to re-read my beautifully written post for clarity. I clearly state the drunken bum Wills was born in Australia and drew up the rules in Melbon.

I then carefully explain where he got those rules from i.e. England. Concentrate sooks. Read slowly. Try to comprehend. It's not rocket science pal.

Have a great day.

NRL very solid for week 1 finals
around 1.4 mill after STV is added , the score was 24-0 at halftime .. & didn't improve much in the 2nd half,
so that would have adversely affected the average ratings

vicdumbohs game ... week 2 final , around 1.7 mill when STV is included .... nothing special for a game that was close all the way through

will
check them against 2023
