It is a harder goal to score than any AFL goal. No points for hitting the side post and it has to be over a crossbar too. Not only that, it's not like getting a mark like in AFL where play stops when you take a shot at a goal with no crossbars. You have to rush it because guys are ready to tackle you and block you from taking the long distance shot at goal.
Nathan Clearly would likely be a better kicker than AFL's best..
How many AFL players could get a 2 point field goal?

was a fair ol nudge yesterday for a guy ( Clearly ) who'd hadn't played for 12 weeks. A 45 metre drop goal to win the game in a blustery breeze is no mean featGlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sun Jul 21, 2024 7:40 pmIt is a harder goal to score than any AFL goal. fumblers can barely stay on their feet , occassionally nail a kick ( fluke it ) but then miss from 20 m out in front from a set shot

Haha I honestly know that almost nobody in AFL would score points if they had NRL field goal rules and the same style crossbar goalsazif wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 6:54 amwas a fair ol nudge yesterday for a guy ( Clearly ) who'd hadn't played for 12 weeks.
