Fumbleball great pays homage to RL's State of Origin

Post by azif »

State of Origin " cuts through the noise, like nothing else "

on the 30th Anniversary of State of Origin at the MCG , the greatest show piece in Australian Sport
AFL legend Dermott Brereton sums it up perfectly

https://www.nrl.com/news/2024/06/24/we- ... -victoria/

A crowd of more then 90,000 ( hopefully breaking the record of 91,513 set in 2015 ) is expected to turn up tomorrow night for game 2 of the 2024 series.
NSW must win to keep the series alive. The tension between the 2 sides & indeed the 2 states is at palpable levels following the taking out of QLD's star fullback & pretty boy Reece Walsh in game one by Joseph Suallii. The wild accusations & claims being made by QLD are IMO ridiculous & offensive but typical of these massive chip on their shoulder entitled pricks from north of the border

The scene is set for something just a little special tomorrow night. It will be compulsory viewing.

simply cannot wait !!

Interesting article indeed.
Surprised by Dermotts comments about RL being a more honest game.

AFL players see how successful NRL State of Origin has been yet the AFL administration turns it's back indefinitely on bringing back SOO.

All I can say to those in AFL house is wake up.
Bring back the Bears.
