Great win, Sea Eagles 26-20 Storm. Battle of Brookvale has a long history of close games and this was no different.
When you think about it, the Northern Beaches has everything woke Melbourne doesn't. Great surfing beaches, Suburban grounds, Summer vibes, Team cheerleaders. It's like the California NRL team of Australia. Most local games have been sellouts recently too.
Was so good to see the Manly beat Woke Melbourne.

all of their games have been sellouts with the exception of the game V Canberra which was played in torrential rain , subsequently the only game they've lost at home as well.GlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sat May 25, 2024 5:57 pmGreat win, Sea Eagles 26-20 Storm. 4/5 sellouts
not a big venue granted , 17500 but... The Eagles are filling it regardless of opponent .. time .. their performances so they're a hot ticket.
they have to take some of that brookie spirit on the road to make finals though I think , but they are very connected to their nthn beaches community atm

Yeah I can't remember there ever being such strong support for the Sea Eagles. It is such a good atmosphere at Brookie.azif wrote: Sun May 26, 2024 6:10 pmall of their games have been sellouts with the exception of the game V Canberra which was played in torrential rain , subsequently the only game they've lost at home as well.GlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sat May 25, 2024 5:57 pmGreat win, Sea Eagles 26-20 Storm. 7 of 9 games at Brookvale sold out this year with 1 game to come V the Sharks in the final round which will almost certainly sellout as wellGlobalRugbyLeague wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:08 amYeah I can't remember there ever being such strong support for the Sea Eagles. they had 1 home game at magic round in Brisbane & the only game at brookie that didn't sellout was a 6pm Friday game V Canberra played in pouring rain , it got around 10500
only 11966 need to turn up to that last game V the sharks for a record home attendance average set in 1976 when brookvale held 27K, not 17K like these days
there were no night games in 1976 , no weekday games & you couldn't always watch the game on TV like you can now.
amazing
