Now let me provide what I believe is a more accurate comparative assessment to yours. I'd put it out there and say most within the SCG on any swans night dont understand half the rules of the game and that the person controlling the rules of the game is an umpire, not a "ref" I've sat next to countless members who have illustrated just this, and they're members!

So I claim the majority are not real supporters of the game, they're supporters of a night out in red drinking chardonnay and cheering for a team, which they have no idea what the team is actually doing other than kicking a ball between some uprights. It disappoints me but this is fairly accurate from my experience. Beaussies seen it, but he wont admit it
Rugby League can only ever dream of a 30k average in Melbourne. Bandwagon supporters or not, they like yourself still contribute the massive AFL crowds we see right round the country week after week, year after year. It never ceases to amaze me just how big the AFL is in this great country of ours. Biggest sporting code in the land without a doubt. Every facet of the game when compared with other codes tells ya that.

And finally, attended two swans games and no league games yes. But apart from those swans games I've watched no more than four AFL games on the tele and about 25 league games on tele...make of that what you will but take those friggin glasses off first and expand your vision :>::
And here we have it, the so called Rugby League supporter that refuses to get off the couch and get out and support their code and club. Pathetic but all too common as you can tell by the absymal crowds week after week in the NRL. As you can see above, these so called supporters would prefer to pay and attend AFL games.

Ahh Beaussie those demetriou magnified anus lens glasses are still on:lol:

The crowds are great for AFL. But those who go to the game in Sydney, well they're not great, and not really supporters of the code or game. Half of them are just bumbling in with nothing else to do with themselves on the weekend. they are the laughing stock of the codes and games supporters in every other state.

Does anyone remember Demetrious ten point plan from five years back? Hilarious, one of them was along the lines of: "That every young Australian man will support AFL"

I think Beaussie threw away his playdude magazines in his dunny and in their place left a printout of the 'ten point plan'.

There's several reasons I didnt get out to an Eels match this season and you haven't touched one of em. Vision Beaussie, vision! But be sure I'll get to a game or two next year.

And those attending NRL games in Melbourne are real supporters not just bumbling in screaming ball and abusing the umpire eh? You're an idiot. The Swans have a hardcore well educated on the rules 20k supporter base. That was proven with the final against North Melbourne in the wet where we got panned for the crowd size. The atmosphere with just over 19k was electric that night. Wake up to yourself stupid.

Oh dear, again, here it is, your typical so called Rugby League supporter. I mean what passion, a game or two next season... or perhaps it will be the season after that. Pathetic but like I say all too common from our throwball friends.

I wouldnt know, never been to a Melbourne storm game (and neither have you by the way  ), so I wouldnt claim to know. You on the other hand continue to ignorantly sprout the shiitt spittled spray of an AFL crazed, demetriou magnified anus lens glasses wearing numbat!

To keep on topic I find it pretty enlightening to see the comparison of national and international league teams in the NRL finals compared to the AFL. One would have to say that from this, this year it looks like the nrl was the more 'national' comp. Although this can change next season so not the strongest argument.

So your point is? :?>
King-Eliagh wrote:
I fortunately got to travel all round this country this year with work. And I kept my eyes peeled all over the country for signs of nrl and AFL, and well mostly I'd have to say it's pretty equal in terms of grounds, advertising, social discussion etc etc. In terms of the NRL across the nation, there's lots of support in the NT. Massive support in QLD and NSW. Some support in Victoria, less in Tasmania and SA and some in WA. All up to me the stakes were pretty even with the AFL holding more support in 1 or 2 more states however nowhere near the support in QLD and NSW, which hold a massive proportion of the countries population.
Now we have confirmation you're making things up. Lots of support in the NT. Laughable along with support for Rugby League in VIC, TAS, SA and WA. Laughable I tell ya.
growing every week of every year

meanwhile
support for Vicky Kicky is waning alarmingly ... in NSW & QLD
even SA'ers couldn't give a stuff its that boring in 2011... & set to get worse in 2012
national sport .. phhhtt... its a national disgrace

Anyone who is found to be a NRL supporter in AFL States are quickly shipped out of the area or put up against the wall and dealt with. There is a zero tolerance to this NRL rubbish in the civilised states of Australia.

Sounds like terms that relates to that garbage game played north of the Murray. I know that NRL is not football but some form of perverted throwball where men bend over is front of men to THROW a ball. Maybe Rapeball is an apt term for it.

Three of the best  Especially the last one. Boggles the mind but I'm sure Nick Reiwoldt and all the boys down at StKilda are warmly welcomed on Oxford Street, whether they like it or not they're now gay icons! Good for them I say and I hope they embrace their new status. :)

Raiders missed the one which I commonly use gAyFL. Seems fitting with your comments above KE
