The NRL would trade the storm / warriors game for any game including two Sydney teams. This could potentially be the lowest rating semi-final in years. Not what league needs right now.

lowest rating ? :?

a minimum of

500K in Sydney
200K in Melbourne
300K in Brisbane
600K in the regionals

for 1.6 Million .... thats ok for a non Sydney final

if 2 sydney sides were playing you'd increase the Sydney number by 200K ... but decrease the Melbourne figure by 150K
so its not much of a difference

the regionals would be a bit bigger for an all sydney final .. but not hugely
its the NRL ... the fans are hooked .. they'll watch it regardless

the other final is the one thats going to set a near record for ratings for an NRL game outside of a GF

Sydney 700K
Brisbane 500K
Melb, Perth , Adel 60K

regionals 700 to 800K

we could hit the 2 million mark .... WOW

yes ... we aren't national , is that news is it ?

but neither is your poor excuse for a sport either which actually thinks it is

consistently getting whopped by a sport that only gets shown in 2 states while yours is shown everywhere ..all the time .. in prime time

how do you explain that exactly ? 8-[

so do we
& our game is shown at 1am

put it on in prime time & another AFL myth is exploded about there being no support for NRL in the Sthn Capitals

when the NRL attracts more veiwers there
then the AFL does in Sydney & Brisbane

now thats hilarious :(/ :(/:(/

I bet the NRL is happy that this is just the semi, imagne if it was the GF.

Though than again it might be 2006 all over again where only 79k people turned up for the GF.

8K empty seats .. really
since when did ANZ have a capacity after its redevelopment of 88K ?
:?
its 83K... there was 79,657 in attendance .. still a sellout
with a few members not showing up on the day

almost exactly the same as the MCG in 2004 with its capacity at 80K
& 3K missing this day

your point being what exactly again ?

You will fit in nicely then dribbler. You guys keep preaching you are the national game yet you have 1 side out of Vic, we have the whole of the eastern states covered and NZ.

Pretty relevant thread really, AFL the Victorian game holds true.
