Storm - week 1 finals
Was thinking… given the Storm have a couple of series injuries to two gun players who are likely to play not fully recovered … thus risking not playing at their best and also possibly causing further injury … if you were the Storm coach you’d have to consider testing those two players, and if so, do you rest a few other players and go in low strength knowing that if you lose you go into next week with a fresh team with all injuries and tired bodies fully rested and a likely win against a bottom final 8 side. Then straight into prelim then a gf. Or do you play the injured players and hope yo have the week off and rest ?

But what a player. I think there would be a temptation if 2 or 3 top players were out to rest them - if the Storm win all well and good, but if they lose, will take that knowing will bring those players back and good chance of winning anyway for that next game.

Re: Storm - week 1 finals
should be a cracking final if
if.....
manly weather the Storm ambush onslaught which as become typical of storm finals
All 3 of their finals opponents last year
Parramatta , the Raiders & eventually Penrith in the GF were all blown away early
the last team to stand up to the Storm & handle their ambush was the Raiders in 2019 & they pinched that final off the storm
tonights game has that smell about it & I think Manly can do the same meaning the Storm move to the same side of the draw as Penrith
& I think the Riff stop them from making the GF
it would be huge if that were to happen

It’s going to be a great game. Think I’ll be watching the Storm mainly and switching regularly. Wouldn’t it be awesome if both games put the score of the other game down the bottom of the screen.

Enjoyed the game. I think a lot of people who follow the Storm from a far in Melbourne … casual supporters, and don’t follow eithe Melbourne or Geelong in the AFL would have turned to the Storm game.
