We want everyone to watch as much AFL as possible but we make it absolutely impossible. Only two of the nine games had clear air from siren to siren to maximise ratings

Only a dickhead couldnt understand overlapping games reduce ratings. You are exhibit Apussycat Mark 11 wrote: Mon May 03, 2021 11:00 amOOH LOL you've found another nutter that agrees with youNlolRL wrote: Sun May 02, 2021 8:50 pmJon Ralph

And only a total @###wit could'nt grasp the concept that more TV coverage actually increases ratings. But But ButNlolRL wrote: Mon May 03, 2021 11:03 amOnly a dickhead couldnt understand overlapping games reduce ratings. Perhaps it has something to do with his goal of maximising ratings?

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Just crunched a few numbers on Fox last round (no streaming):
NRL total 1.826k at average of 228k.
AFL total 1.282k at average of 142k.
The NRL is smashing 'em!!!!! Has there ever been a bigger difference in the numbers???? And once streaming is added it will be even worse for the fumbling game.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
I’m more interested in the total numbers not just fox. All I get from fox figures are that more people who like to watch Rl subscribe to fox.... which we all know anyhow. It’s a relatively small population.

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
I have not tallied the total numbers for FTA and Pay, but have now updated each round with all the ratings I could find in the respective codes tv ratings threads. Like you say, we cannot base popularity on Fox figures alone.Fred wrote: Mon May 03, 2021 7:20 pmI’m more interested in the total numbers not just fox. Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
firstly, what punter of fan of AFL would actually watch all 9 games. ........................
secondly, AFL has the best coverage on FTA than any sport in Australia. (which actually lifts ratings)
thirdly, of course all numbers should be added up as a total. though you can also add
fox and FTA separately, it gives it a good run down..

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
no one is saying you would watch all 9 games. However, even if you can spare 6 hrs to watch sport on Saturday, that's 2 AFL games and 3 NRL games. Same viewing, 50% more ratings countedleeroy*NRL* wrote: Tue May 04, 2021 10:37 amfirstly, what punter of fan of AFL would actually watch all 9 games. ........................
