Anyway, I think Perth is the go and finals will be on Qld. There really is no long term benefit in on off games in non traditional states. Look at SoO ... When played in Melbourne gets a heap of media that week but long term no real growth in rl in that state where it is basically invisible outside the Storm. No growth of any significance in grassroots with 1 leaugue covering the whole state ... like 13 teams. So having a one off gf on qld don’t think will add too much to grow AFL ... which has a pretty high profile anyway at grass roots.

As the data shows AFL is extremely strong in 4 states and has a clear presence in 2. The NRL is strong in 2 states and barely rates a mention in the others. That's the truth

If you are going to say those places are mixed you better put Gold Coast on there as mixed by those metrics. I’d say AFL is way bigger in Gold Coast than Rl is in Mildura lol.

And Wagga is clearly now mixed… the whole Riverina has a very strong AFL base. Even old Roy was stating that the whole area has fallen to AFL just a week or so back on offenders.
