As Wookie said, SOO was awesome, loved it as a kid, but I see exactly why we don't/can't have it. It just isn't feasible. Take your narrow mind out of your own game for a second, SOO is everything to you lot, we simply don't look at it like that.
I know I'd rather have the actual national comp than have what you lot have, and you'll find that's the broader consensus down here. Each to their own.

Thank you for your reply Catsy. Unfortunately you have completely missed the point of my question to the great man Wookie. I questioned his apparent change of thinking around AFL SOO. In previous years he has been **** the cavalcade of fumblers here who go nuts when RL SOO gets close.

The main tenant of their reasoning was that AFL SOO was old hat, not needed and not missed. There was never any mention of 'missing it'. No reflection or sense of affection for it. But today Wookie said he 'missed it'. I simply asked why the apparent change in his reasoning. I wasn't interested in the other claptrap my friend.

That was the point of my post Catsy. You have wasted precious minutes of your valuable time, and mine, on a issue not at question in this conversation. I have no problem with my friend that but I suggest you read more carefully next time. Maybe get some help from Mrs Catsy. Hmmmm... I think you have two different body types in AFL and NRL. I think the men of league and men of AFL calendars probably highlight this difference. One is more solid, bulkier, body builder type look (nrl) and AFL is more the athletic body sculpting type look. I agree there is more scope for the tall and lanky types in AFL along with short players ... which is really not suited to the collision type processes of NRL but I think this also sees the “no neck” bulked up look of many NRL players. If parra prefers that look, that”s fine ... whatever floats his boat I guess. I think to suggest that all AFL or even most are skinny bean poles is not accurate though and I think if he had a good look he may like what he sees.

Um again. I’m there to watch the sport Parra. I also don’t mind watching RL, cricket, tennis (sometimes) as we as baseball and sometimes basketball. The shape or size of the bodies of the men playing don’t really come into it in those male sports. As you have just pointed out, for you it does. That’s fine. I can relate, as when watching female sports I too can appreciate the fine female form of the athlete playing ... not all but those I think are easy on the eye... it’s an added bonus ... so see where you’re coming from.
