Not long till the season starts. Hoping Manly does better this year and looking forward to going to games up the road.
Feel grateful to live in Sydney and not Melbourne. No wonder they always get so jealous and upset. Because we are nothing like them.

Yep, Sydney is one of the most renowned & beautiful cities in the world. Easy to see why other towns are so insecure & parochial being in Sydney's shadow.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2020 12:00 pmNot long till the season starts. its well known that your code is like watching grass grow hence the pathetic crowds
Sydney along with Melbourne were once great cities but now are just concrete shit holes, Melbourne was at least well designed lay out is for better .
Sydney had the beaches and so dos Melbourne, but takes ages to get to them
I wil say where the league fans have it all over the AFL fans is that there is always plenty of seats available and ticket usually cheaper. then when your done, no need to he'd out in the city, you can just pop over the road to their clubs mini casino leagues club, in their bogan attiar, sink a few tinnier, slam some coins down some slots or dice to a jimmy barns or abba cover band

Re: Looking forward sunny days at Brookie. No wonder Melbourne people are always jealous of Sydney.
Then why the constant need to say you’re the best. When your the best others will tell you. Self praise is no recommendation I believe. Sounds a little insecure to keep telling others how good you are and the “I’m better than you” mentality.
For what it is worth sydney has some great features. Harbour and opera house speak for themselves. Bondi... over rated but liked Rose Bay... had lunch on the beach in a nice little restaurant. And china town had a great yum Cha . City itself is a mess and clearly not a planned city as streets go everywhere and for me it was way too busy but the driving was terrible. Melbourne city I quite like ... firstly a breeze to drive around. I like the lane ways and hidden bars and you can’t beat the dinning experiences. Sydney has some nice restaurants too but Melbourne has a broader scope of restaurants of medium to high quality. It is known for its restaurants and discerning diners world wide. If you could place Melbourne on Sydney harbour you’d have a great city. But I think each city has something to offer and that is the beauty of this great country. I thought this whole Melbourne Sydney rivalry has died away in the 80s ... I think Melbourne people kind of moved on many years ago and thought Sydney moved on too maybe in the 90s or 00s. Obviously a few hanging onto it ... still coming from Sydneyites unfortunately. Move on I say, you have a great city with some great things ... enjoy what you have.

Funny, I thought it was Melbourne always proclaiming it's greatness; sporting, coffee, comedy capital of the world. Probably a hundred more - all wrong. Clear insecurity which is also direct cause for obsession with AFL. Game is truly stupid & convoluted yet people from Melbourne force themselves to love it & are completely upset when rest of the world doesn't. Expensive lesson is GC & WS.Fred wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2020 3:44 pmThen why the constant need to say you’re the best. When your the best others will tell you. Self praise is no recommendation I believe. What the fuck.
How can you possibly be so insecure? Who gives a fuck about Sydney or feels any need to degrade it, I like to think you nuffs don't represent the broader public there, but for some reason it's Melbourne in general with you.
Is your Melbourne hatred borne purely from hating the AFL?

Never realised quite how much hate there was for AFL from our Northern friends.

Better footy code, Better Climate, Better Beaches,
Better game entertainment,
a) Sure your a better code. And yet for some reason more people play Australian football than rugby league.
b) Melbourne is predicted to outgrow Sydney by 2026.
c) Sydney has almost double the rainfall of Melbourne
d) This list at least puts a Melbourne beach in the top 10 above any Sydney ones. Other lists havfe Bondi at the top.
e) If the entertainment and code are better, then why are your crowds half that of the AFLs.
Bigger city. You guys can have all that extra congestion and crowds. Melbourne is welcome to it.
Saying that, why does Sydney have the top 10 most expensive suburbs.
Why does Sydney have more 343 suburbs with the average house price of over a million. Melbourne does not even come close to these figures.
Now aren't people statistically willing to pay more for an area if it is better??
People are willing to pay much more to live in Sydney than Melbourne.

Nothing to be insecure about. I am just not a fan of some Melbourne cultures. Like the extreme political correctness and thinking they are the best with some of their no sense views.Cats_Steve wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2020 10:16 pmWhat the fuck.

Is your Melbourne hatred borne purely from hating the AFL?
Complaining about Sydney radios Kyle Sandilands because he offends them.
Complaining to Dana White about girls at the UFC tour in Melbourne because it offends them. Your premier did that.
Always telling people their city is better than Sydney.
Now all I did was state a few true facts

Saying that I really like the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Perth.
As for AFL I just can't take it seriously. I tried to give it a chance when I dated a girl from Victoria who loved AFL...
To many things I didn't like.
The streamers behind the goals seemed rediculous to me.
The silly fingure thing the umpire did with each goal.
The constant drop balls.
The points for missing.
The bouncing of an oval ball on the ground. To me this reminded me of the same logic of driving a car with square wheels.
I am a big fan of Gridiron, Soccer, Tennis Rugby 7s etc.. But AFL nup...

House Values Sydney vs Melbourne
https://upside.com.au/articles/news/hou ... uburbs-map
those bogans who you think are the wealthy ones, only explains how little idea you have of reality

learn about the basis geographic of Sydney before trying to comment about prices. Sydney has limited land supply eg its built in by national parks and built along the ocean.
I noticed you didn't comment on
the shit house lay out of Sydney
the narrow roads
the very dated shit house public transport infrastructure
the dull night life and those lock out laws

bragging about who has the more million dollar suburbs only proves you have NFI about reality or the concept of money!
and you still didn't comment on Melbourne winning worlds most liveable city 7 years in a row

yet in the limited mind of a basement dwelling nrl fan those are the the reasons why Sydney is better!
but but harbour and beaches! like your going to visit and stair at the bridge or opera house every day
to be fair I consider both Sydney and Melbourne to be both shit holes and vastly over populated people spend hrs every day in traffic or on public transport just to get to and from work! (something you wouldn't know about)
lifes to short and valuable for that shit and time should be spent spending it with friends (something I doubt you know about)
on the bright side league is the working mans game and union is the private school and white collar workers game! your kind would be out mt Druitt, merry lands, Blacktown etc
