Paul Gallen vs Barry Hall

Can’t believe these two hacks are getting all this publicity and I suspect money!! I’d expect Hall to win ... although it is boxing and judging can be subjective ... a bit like diving or gymnastics ... all depends how a judge sees it.

The betting odds are in favour of Gallen. But I think Gallen could struggle with Halls reach.

Saying that, after watching them both shadow box on their instagrams, Gallen seems to look the better boxer.

Hehe I know this much, Gallen has no fear of Hall. So Gallen punching holes in him pinned against the ropes is a big possibility.

I see Gallun is making excuses already. But I particularly liked the one that the fight is in Melbourne where he is hated and where Cronulla are hated. Firstly, most people in a Melbourne wouldn’t have known him prior to this fight ... and most people would not know he played for Cronulla ... and a hell of a lot wouldn’t even know Cronulla is a rl team. Anyway... isn’t he pretty well universally hated?

Melbourne Storm have more hatred with Manly than Cronulla. Being from the Northern Beaches myself I've seen plenty of fights a Brookie with Storm players.

On paper Gallen should have all down in the first few rounds
An experienced pro boxer still fighting vs an amateur boxer who stopped box early on his AFL days, played a Roos decade and retired in 2011 and done nothing since plus is several years older

I’m sure we can all agree on the fight needs some one like an Anthony Mundine or conner magregher type character to pup the fight up

I never realised Gallon had been boxing for a little while now. I think that changes a few things as Hall is only getting ready for the fight but you can’t counter “game” time I think. Whilst Hall seems the more athletic of the two I think Gallon should have the bulk and experience in the art so to speak.

Gallen has been pro boxing for years now and has 9 wins out of 9 and is 3 or 4 years younger than hall

Hall hasn’t boxed since his early days at stkilda some 20 odd years ago

I think they were talking about the winner then going up against SBW. Meaning tonight's fight plus the money for a fight against SBW would be near $2M.

I'm backing Gal to win tonight because RL players are far more athletically gifted than fumblers. Big bad Baz looks like a scared man the last couple of days so he could come out and unleash wildly through fear. If that happens he's a mugs chance of landing a lucky shot. That's his only chance.

It's surprising how many AFL fans dislike bid bad Benny .
& want to see him get smashed.
I'm no Gal fan but at least he walked the walk when he said he was taking up boxing.
He also was facing his opponents when he had a fight on the footy field .
